I shot this in JPEG (off the hip) with my Samsung CSC just off Princes Street in Scotland. At the end of the day this is the reality of life in Scotland (in Edinburgh) in 2015. This young lad is wandering (suited and booted) as a walking bill board quite literary begging for work. I'd guess he's fairly well educated but at the same time as our politicians award themselves a 10% backdated pay rise (to £74,000) it really disgusts me the direction our country is heading . . . . . . .
While this shot is far from technically perfect I find it interesting that, in 100 years, photography has progressed to the point where perfection then is considered a reject today. As this shot shows, social progress in the same period is zero.
