It's the BBMF Lanc, which is the only one flying in the country. It covers a lot of ground during the season! There was only one other flying which is in Canada, I don't know if that has changed.

They've also changed the paint scheme this year, it's no longer the Phantom of the Ruhr. It's now Thumper mkIII which was a 617 Lanc.

Anyone going to RIAT this weekend? I was expecting to have to work this weekend instead so cancelled my 100-400 rental, but now I can go. Only have a 70-200 though now!

Yeah a cheap Kenko 1.4x TC, too tired last night, I did put that in the Flickr set description! Some are noisy as I underexposed. The weather was cloudy for the majority of the day and haze was a problem. Originally I was going to hire a lens, but I was expecting to have to work this weekend and it was only cancelled at the last minute.

One from Saturday. Taken with a Fuji X-T1 and a hazy Sigma 300mm. Using MF whilst trying to change aperture on the fly all whilst trying to pan smoothly at 1/180 and dealing with the EVF blackout was "fun".

Yes, this was with the X-T1 and 50-230.

This was my favourite shot of the day (excuse the retro processing), this was taken one handed, arm outstretched in a casual swipe at grabbing a shot (as I wasn't ready when the car appeared)
