Pick one game you wish they did an updated version of.

What was the sci-fi game where you were in a control tower and could look around and spawn soldiers, tanks and aircraft at the locations you looked at?

Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation!

Also those really old Star War games from over 10 years ago, can't remember the names but my dad bought me a special pack of about 5 games I think, they were so awesome back in the day.

Anyone know the names of them and if you can get them nowadays?

Honestly, I expected a few more people to mention Pharaoh. It's ripe for a remake and it seems to be universally popular.

Did I just read that the HL1 remake is finally out?

None of these would neccessarily be remakes, but we definitely need modern sequels to the X-Wing/Tie Figher series.... Mech Warrior, and Sim City.

I believe there is actually a new Mech Warrior game on the way.

In fact there's quite a few old games that getting a new lease of life or a squeal of the top of my head I can think of

- Elite 4
- Mech Warrior 4
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution
- X: Rebrith
- Thief 4

Of course some of those will appeal more then others depending on your age. Now I'm 30 and I've been waiting for a new Elite game since I was 12/13 years old............and they say Duke Nuke 'Em took a long time! I'm also really keen to see what Thief 4 turns out to be like as I'm a huge fan of the original games.

Cant Decide

GTA Vice City
RCT
Road Rash
PaperBoy
Streets of Rage
Golden Axe
Fighting Force (anyone remember this) was epic

Soooo many I'd like to see, a lot of which have already been mentioned.

Since I'm currently playing through one of their games, I'll just say I'd love Troika's unfortunately small catalog redone with modern tech (i.e. VTM:B on the latest Source version, and maybe Arcanum/ToEE on a modified Diablo 3 engine) and all the unfinished/cut/poorly implemented content for each properly realised. Yeah, the respective modding communities have done great jobs, but...ah well...
