I had the Astros back in the day when I used them for competitive gaming.

With the price they're at, I wouldn't bother unless you're really serious. Or just want the mixamp. Mixamp good, headphones bad.

The idea is you jam them in at a vertical angle if you are stuck up to your diffs in something.

I would probably say altogether not really for the £200 that astro are charging. Don't get me wrong, the mixamp is excellent, surround sound from it is very good and the XBOX/PS3/PC headset options are very good. It's the headset that lets the A30 package down, it's a nice headset but it's not £100 nice.

The good thing about the mixamp is that you can use it with any PC headset.

Thankfully I got the amp and headset from another (awesome) forum member for close to £100 :)

MW2 is a whole other world with this kit though. If you keep an eye on ebay mixamps pop up every now and then for £50 - £80, well worth it imo especially if you're into your fps games.

It's firmer than the softly padded chairs, some people find firmer comfy, others do not :p If you've sat in a BMW E46 Sport at the front then that's how firm it is to give you an idea :)

Staples model Tiago, was half price @ £79.99 today. I believe the half price sale ends tomorrow in stores but the online price might stick? Do you want to chance it? :D

Just where does the original Phat model land on your supermarket scale? The one that was louder, hotter, had more ylod failures but was technically the best of all of them?

The build quality of all of them is excellent, they just put an 80mm fan in instead of whatever was there previously and so it gets a little noisier than the previous model.
 




Busy month! Most the text for uni for a while (not all though...) My iPhone 4 (making £100 cash back instead of spending £100 appealed as iv never owned iPhone before) iPod nano in green and a boogle bug thing :D

The senior ticket isn't mine jeu the first one in the pile for tomorrow!
