Bought an iPad but everyone's seen a trillion pictures of those already. However I thought these were far more interesting:

A nice bag, almost 1.1 kilos. Awesome :)

Was that the one that was like £23

Not sure, a guy I work with went to the states and I asked him if he could grab me some. Didn't expect him to pick up a bag that big though :) But I'm certainly not complaining.

Oh jeez yea, I just bought the GF an engagement ring, but it isn't the actual ring (I want a single solitaire c.0.66ct diamond, 18ct white gold, thin band but can't get to Hatton Garden before I plan on "doing the deed",) so I got this one as a temp ring. Not bad I thought, knocked a bit down from 1k.

.33 ct diamond with 18ct white gold. Should arrive in a couple of weeks.

you spent £1K on a temp ring?

why do you want a single solitaire? should it not be whatever your fiancee wants?

We have similar tastes, she wants the same. So it is what she wants. I didn't spend 1k on it, it was up for 1k. I got a good deal.

What's the point of buying something if it's not nice? She just gets two instead of 1.

Just bought 5 tickets for Go Karting in 2 weeks time, should be epic fun :D

£100 all in \m/

A valued asset. I wouldn't get her a 50quid ring. Diamonds and gold have value. They in turn, are assets but also, nice.

lol

diamonds have a highly artificially inflated value.

also the amount of gold in your ring is 2-3 grams at best so less than £100 worth.

the ring in terms of an asset is worth probably 1/3 rd of what you paid for it.

for example, take the ring to an independent jewellers and try and sell it, to see how much they offer you for it. that is its true value.

Expensive month in the end and it started so well

Stuff from me to me :D

More than a 50quid ring though. As I said I got a good deal regardless. Are you sad I didn't get you one too?

I think she's worth everything I give her, so why can't I? That should be reason enough.

:D

Here's a 360 view of the track, a workmate has driven on it a number of times and said it's superb. The bridge flyover is particularly interesting as he said him and his lad got air on the exit when taking it with some speed!

I went to one in Cardiff with an outdoor section and a bridge flyover thing and they closed it because it was damp. Poo.

i think its far too expensive for a "temp ring". if you dont then thats fair enough.

especially when you yourself don't have any clue about the value of gold, diamonds, etc. And were seeing it as a valued asset. If that's true then you got robbed. As with assets you usually buy them at around "market value" which as i said is probably 1/3 of what you paid for it.

its 18 white carat gold, which is only 75% pure gold, do you know what the other 25% is? i would hope its palladium at the least.

obviously your ring was going to be worth more than £50 if you paid near a grand for it, thinking otherwise would be stupid.

i suggest you do some research on it, before splashing out on the real thing.

haha those present are for my mum & dad just got to find my sisters now and I am sorted.

Anyone have Rammstein tickets they want to sell me? I don't feel like paying £70+ a ticket and £30 booking fee on top!
