i think its far too expensive for a "temp ring". if you dont then thats fair enough.

especially when you yourself don't have any clue about the value of gold, diamonds, etc. And were seeing it as a valued asset. If that's true then you got robbed. As with assets you usually buy them at around "market value" which as i said is probably 1/3 of what you paid for it.

its 18 white carat gold, which is only 75% pure gold, do you know what the other 25% is? i would hope its palladium at the least.

obviously your ring was going to be worth more than £50 if you paid near a grand for it, thinking otherwise would be stupid.

i suggest you do some research on it, before splashing out on the real thing.

Think what you like sweetheart. Whatever helps you sleep at night my lovely.

Well, that depends what you mean when you say, "true value". There's trade value, retail value, etc.

lets say an independent jewellers offers £300 for the ring, it would be safe to say their mark up would be roughly 25%. So they would sell it for roughly £400. It gives you a rough idea anyway, of its true value.

a much better idea than the RRP

First you said the value to the jeweller was its true value (before markup, for sale)... now its second hand value is its true value? :p

the cash he can get for it, is its true value.

therefore whatever he gets from an indy or if he decided to sell privately at a similar price to what the indy would charge.

Got it to replace the 50" samsung plasma thats away getting repaired. Its seems wierd as its so small compared to our old one.

*you're

You can't even spell for crying out loud, let alone give sound advice.

lol, im not an english teacher and english is my 3rd language

this coming from someone who buys valued assets at 3 times their worth.

and what does spelling have to do with giving advice? you got the jist of it, which is what matters.

I never said what I paid for it :D I said it was up for 1k... so you can't give "advice" based on your opinion without facts, assuming I don't know what I'm doing.

But thanks for your concern. It's touching.

Psycho Sonny likes to come into threads and pretends that he knows everything about everything. I'd disregard most of what he says.
