What are these..are they the plastic things that are harder to see? How much are they, and could I fit one straight away?

so i could go home, with one of these in (if its what i think it is), tell my mum, she won't care if its small, go out, put "real" thing in.

Also what is http://www.jewelryranks.com/bodyjewelry2/help/images/eyebrow-piercing.jpg actually called? (as in, if it was a ring, it would ... be a ring). I have no idea what they're called. The straight things...
 
Yeah nice thread, i was thinking about getting my lip peirced, cant be bothered though!

I think the swollen red eyebrow for a few days might give the game away. Few places will pierce eyebrows with a retainer even the eyebrow retainer will be noticable and you wont be able to change it for minimum 4-5 weeks

I'm always so tempted to get something done, always wanted a scafold, and now I've got short hair I think its becomming more of a posability.

sadly its more complex than that, a large proportion of my work is helping old people with their PCs.
as I'm self employed I have to think of my image before anything else sadly :(

don't think that meny of those 85 year olds (although some are cool) would be quite so happy if I had piercings.

maybe I'll have to get a real job

Are you helpful, knowledgable and friendly?

If yes, they won't care.

I get jobs, and I've got a bit more than just a scaffold. Your character will override any piercings you have in your ears, especially these days.

Yeah totally :p

You will swell as much as you swell you never know. My lip swelled up a lot my belly buttons barely swelled up at all.

It's like with tattoos, people bleed different amounts. I bleed EVERYWHERE. After a couple of hours, my chest piece looked like a gunshot wound, I had blood on my stomach.
 
I'm also thinking about getting my tongue pierced. What should i expect, like healing, pain.... I've got a few tattoo's so pain isn't the big thing, just not too keen if my tounge is likely to get infected.

Heals quick and easy, piece of cake. Sea salt, listerine, you'll be sorted.
 
Tongues are unlikely to get infected if you look after them just like every piercing. You can't tell someone if something is going to hurt because pain is different from person to person. Its nothing like tattooing though. You also need to be prepared for the possiblity of it swelling.

girl I was at college with didn't look after her tounge pericing properly (ignored all advice from pericer etc) and it swelled up SOO much,

the hospital took it out and she was still talking funny 6 months later

Silly girl, rule one of piercings is if you don't look after them be prepaired for it to go wrong. I've never had an infected piercing in 4 years
 
Fool :p

Well the diluted salt works good, I never had an infection on any of the 5 times. On the other had I saw an infected picture. Ew!
