piledriver - Official AMD FX4300,FX6300 and FX8350 review thread

The trouble is a 2700K will still destroy it in a lot of situations, when they say "on par with 2700K" that's only going to be in best case conditions such as heavily multithreaded encoding.

yeh no doubt.

But a 2700K is like £230 where as a 8350 should be around £160 according to pre-order prices hopefully less when it settles in

So, from what I can see, it's a great CPU for the price....unless you play games a lot.

depends on the games.

games like bf3 that can use multiple cores it competes well with intels.

Games that don't (the majority out atm) it doesn't.

Its better than older AMD's and an improvement in most cases to Phenom II's now.

Brilliant if your rendering and using programs that use multiple threads etc.

If it is going to be £124 like stated then yeh good value to me. Especially if I can sell my phenom 2.

Preorder price could go either way. depends on demand and stock availability. Free delivery is worth £6-7.

(I have already had one enquiry from here for the 1090T, no names etc.)

Yeh i know. I really want to get it from here its just £18 more and delivery is only £6 max.

Then i gotta sell my GTX 570 and 1075t
