"Pillars of Eternity: RPG funded by Kickstarter"

Found a staff photo on the Obsidian forums, even with the layoffs that's got to be ~80 people there. Plus the 9-10 that they're hiring for South Park, Eternity and whatever their third project is.

Didn't think it'd raise this fast now. I must've not paid much attention to the last hours of those others, or I'm going senile..

With the paypal contribution added (~150k) it will make 4 million, its been quite remarkable. Upped my pledge to $100 to get the boxed copy plus the expansion, heres hoping the game is a massive success. Sucks having to wait 2 years for it though.

Nows time to find out how much of the money will be lost now people actually need to pay. Hopefully not a lot. :)
 
With paypal it was over 4.1 million. The final stretch goal was rather underwhelming but they probably had enough content to design without adding more. I think it'll be released christmas 2014, april is a bit optimistic imo.

Something to look forward to at least.

The paypal is still up but wont be for long if anyone still wants a cheap (2 year) pre-order.

So have they said the $4m stretch goal will be implemented?

Yeah, pushed back to October-December is my bet. I'd welcome that, given it's used wisely.

They probably never envisaged it going that high.

Wonder if they'll keep to their 2014 release now that the game has grown so much.
