Plane on fire in sky

I saw a Chinese Lantern last night, well loads of them, but one in particular caught fire and pieces kept falling from it. You probably saw something similar.

Well, considering that my desk is positioned right underneath the back window of the house and as I type this I have a great view of the skies in the direction of Hanley and Burslem I like to think I'd actually notice an aircraft on fire if it came into view.

I can confirm that Azagoth is indeed telling the truth.
In fact he doesn't even have to turn to face Hanley where I have to look right out of my back bedroom window.
Hanley is in the middle of Potteries Way not the sign to the left.

Yep gonna say lantern, me and a couple of mates were driving along and spotted what we thought was a plane on fire, looked quite high up and moving quite fast. Pulled up and watched it for a min then realised what it was.

Loads of these lanterns at the moment , i think they are at poundland for errr a pound ,can see them been banned b4 long

Hopefully it'll land on Vale Park or if it doesn't judge the landing correctly, then the Brit will do!

It'd improve gresty road if it landed there!

I live in Tunstall, Pc looks out the window towards burslem/hanley and i aint seen anything other than chinese lanterns for the past 24 hours

Even though there's clearly thousands of these things floating around at the moment, have any of you actually released one? Or know of someone who has?

It's a big conspiracy cover plan so nobody notices the real ufo's man! Or they are all drone spy balloons and are watching us while we sleep and shower:D

This incredibly likely theory will of course be busted the second someone admits to releasing one of these lanterns. Until then, the tin foil hats should remain on people.

Never seen the lanterns for sale, or in the skies ever...
Must be a Southern thing, we're too busy setting shopping trolleys on fire instead.
