Planetside finally gets a server merge!

Subbed a while back to this with some friends from eve online, had a lot of fun doing magrider crews with ventrillo. I was mostly gunner, coordinated Magrider crews speeding through the country side was so much fun, no other tank could touch us either because we just kited, side straffed their shots while slowly chipping away at them with the main gun.

Magrider wins every time, even managed to take down a good BFR player, got so much XP :).
 
Been playing for the last few hours... forgot how much win this game was made of! -- tried TR but with a 20% pop and both NC and VS hammering them, quickly abandoned that in favour of NC if anyone else wants to group up :D
 
Does planetside still do that 'Planetside Reserves' thing, where you can play for free but are capped at a low BR?

Do all the training missions, then goto the VR training centre and try every weapon/armour & jump in every vehicle - you'll get lots of XP from all this that should bring you up to around BR4.

Are you playing NC?
 
Anyone else having major issues with vista and PS?

Runs fine, then CTD after laoding sanctuary and whenever I run it in windows 95 compatability mode, nothing loads it starts the process (Launchpad.exe) but doesn't actually do anything.

If anyone else had any probs, how did you fix it?

Using Vista here, to get it working I'd to do this or it would just keep crashing:

The "flymo" tank, what a royal pita ;)
 
for anyone who has just resubbed, the fastest way to download it is to install station launcher and download it via that.

If you have just bought it from Direct2Drive forget their download link, its slow as hell. Make your station account and activate the sub, then download via station launcher as well.
 
Currently playing on Gemini with two mates, we need a forth person so we can take two magriders instead just one and a lightning.

Sttarted off at BR 0 at around 5pm, currently half way to BR 9 :). Magriders bring in the kills.
