Planetside finally gets a server merge!

I was in that fight last night. But I was on VS, for most of the day attacking/defending against NC at Leza, but then we started hitting you TR guys at honsi I think it was. Dont suppose you caught a glimps of a few magriders owning all your stuff did you? :D

This is just south of Leza, set up a loadstar to get easy XP while eating dinner. the VS (me) are attacking from the south, the base belongs to NC but I think thats TR artillery coming in from the north. Oh and an airstrike on the tower :D

Managed to get 4 players together for two magriders and their tranpsort.

First base capture went well, just taking the capture module thing to our base.

Then we moved to TRs next base, managed to kill 3 prowlers in a row attacking this, they suck. Im glad nobody else can use magriders now. The gens didnt come down so we went in on foot.

My name on Gemini is 'eighters', make a VS character for some funtimes.
 
It's great fun with a squad, 4 of us last night toar up the place in our lawnmowers :)

Will have to try an air squad when I get some more certs, a squad of reavers is great fun

I'll be on Gemini again tonight 'Xante' VS, come help us blow stuff up :D

yeah they are, there's a lot of old faces about still in command chat, i was quite surprised to be honest. i've spent most of my time as NC on gemini though so not played much with them.

There were certainly plenty of Mags floating about. Managed to sink one in the middle of the river from the rear cannon of a Marauder (VW Camper Van with guns), I think it is a Marauder anyway.

Re. my comment about NC weaps :) it was just in response to Petit Lapin's about TR weaps and also not really different to the posts earlier in this thread about people flocking to create NC characters. But hey it's all fun and a bit of rivalry never did anyone any harm. :)
 
i was playing as VS last night on werner, attacking Akkan, NC were defending (it eventually went neutral). the werner VS always, always once the hack was on either bugger off or be too busy picking their noses to notice the squad of troops and maxes running in the back door. low and behold, nothing has changed as the same thing happened! if there was a global facepalm i could have done then i would have done it then.

to be fair, it's the first time i've seen it since i've been back, but i've not been on werner that much, and it was an experienced nc crew that did it. if there's one thing that this game shows is how dangerous a bit of teamwork is (to the opposition).
 
Yeah, I dabbled with the Werner VS too, but they didn't seem to know what teamwork was, instead preferring to sit and spam that blue electro splash gun thing at the front doors constantly instead, hoping the enemies would come running into it.

I'm an Engi so standing there twiddling my thumbs got dull fast.

I was at the akkan fight last night! It was a good laugh!

My first fight was 1v1 (my favourite) at Neti (i think) gen was down so i went to take a look. Found a VS CR5 Personal Sheild with a JH. Killed him - I was Agile with just JH an med packs.

That kill just summed up why this game is top! :D

Yeah was also on VS on Werner last night. Towards the end of the evening I had a blast as a gunner in a Galaxy Gunship. Talk about bullet magnets though and waiting for the shields to recharge is very tedious. I do see what you mean about VS lack of attention span though. Seems a lot of people don't read global chat and follow the zerg.
 
Logged onto my BR25, CR5 character at the weekend and had a jolly good time :-) Nice to see lots of old faces and plenty of fellow Starwolf members also online.

Trying to persuade Firejack to return and get M.A.P (Myriad Apocolypse Project) kicking butt again :-)

Ah, I remember the glory days of the Vanu Alliance - Wicky, Cobalt, Fester, Barkmann, Allicorn, JackBauerCTU, Aveox etc.

Good to see a few old names - but when the trial runs out i wont be goign back there :O
 
I used to be in Natural Selection which is semi active at the moment although I haven't yet rejoined. Might try and get my CR up, currently only at 2. You have to get to 5 for the orbital strike don't you?
 
would anybody be so kind to tell me what size there planetside folder is , I got 7 hours left of patching lol (mines 2.7G) i installed from my original discs back in 2004
