Planetside finally gets a server merge!

Really annoying. Installed PS under Vista last week, was able to play but the FPS was pretty much unplayable. Had to run it in 800x600 with EVERYTHING turned off and still got down to 15fps in some battles. Anyway, with Windows 7 coming out soon, decided to reinstall XP then upgrade to Windows 7 when that comes out. So got back to XP reinstalled Planetside and now when i try to play i get a Windows alert saying Planetside.exe failed to initialize and then just quites to the desktop. Tried everything, drivers, DirectX etc etc. The only other thing i though it could be was, because i originally installed PS to my D:\, so i wouldn't have to patch the 3gb again. So when i installed PS on XP i directed it to the PS install directory on the D:\ to save the download again. So anyway, i've uninstalled\deleted everything PS from my computer and redownloading again through the launcher, going to take hours, just hope it works after this

What server/faction you playing? you level up much quicker in a squad, as long as they're not totally inept.
Shouldnt take you long with that Ghostbusters gun your were spamming earlier!!

The thing that went up the quickest was my grief points. Man that thing is bad for it. The problem is the VS don't understand how to use it (other than jackbauerctu and hooves that were using it with me). They just run in and get killed and give me grief!
VS on the europes server. thing is I'm trained for aircraft etc so not really got much luck unless someone feels like being my gunners, and they tend to bail on me!
Not sure there's really enough peeps about, there used to be an OcUK outfit but it was TR. Remember some really good players in there.
Probably best looking at the Squad Listing for an outfit squad (probably accepting all) then joining that then if you get on well with them, as about joining? I was trying to think about outfit recommendations but I only play with Furious Angels, UniMatrix and RisK (I'm in my own outfit lol). Think Outlawz are quite well organised too.

My old main character is a TR on Werner, but the whole TR faction on Werner is practically dead - we get butt r*ped by both VS & NC because of the low population.
Bit of a mix of factions & servers in this thread, some guys will have to start again in order to get an outfit going, I don't mind doing it, but I'm not sure many others will?

Forgotten just how much fun it is wearing the Infiltration Suit and jacking hostile vehicles whilst cloaked, ejecting the occupants, then deconstructing the vehicle infront of them.
Nearly got a Peregrine like that last night but decon'd a couple of Galaxies and a couple of AMS, hrhr

Are folk playing TR though, anyone in this outfit? looks like NC & VS are the main choices here? If there aren't enough guys for an outfit I'm happy to reroll if we get enough for a squad!

Someone did this to me yesterday, took me a while to figure out what happened but I laughed my ass off when I realised. I've dusted off my old inf. character hoping to have some fun
So they've upped it from 25 from when i left?
As far as i know Linkz is playing from OcUK from time to time! He was playing last night. Im not sure if anyone else is knocking about...linkz??
