Out of all those I'm only interested in Uncharted 3 & Resistance 3.

I don't think MS have forgotten about the "Hardcore Gamers" I think this title belongs to Nintendo, the PS3 & 360 both have their Pros and Cons the whole debate about which is better will never end between people I think the Op should make up his own mind rather than start a fanboy war about who's console has the bigger penis :).

What beggars belief is how MS have, and its been mentioned a few times now seem to have gone off in search for motion control gaming and not offering equal core and casual gaming experiences considering its core gamers that essentially provided them with much of their success in the console market. I mean lets not forget, MS and its xbox line of consoles are out to make money and capture as much audience as it can. And motion controlling is just one way to grab attention of maybe a less casual gamer. Now you can’t blame them for this. Sony have done just the same with PS Move, albeit seems that is geared towards shoehorning or building core games into motion controlled option games, such as Heavy Rain as a classic example.

But MS aren’t offering enough to keep those core gamers from looking further a field. And it appears many are, and with the recent price drop of a PS3, many 360 owners could now consider a PS3 as a viable and quick way to dip into a great catalogue of core games that they have yet to play.

Regardless of hardware specs, or even equalling mutli platform titles, the 360 clearly isn’t fulfilling the basic requirements of core game exclusive experiences. The 360 online gameplay, its gamepad and excellent back catalogue of previous exclusives and equally as good multi platform titles have ensured it will continue to be a well thought after gaming console, even the motion controlling will see it grow with a new audience, however the lack of tantalising exclusives for 360 owners this year could (no proof of this) leave many with a bit of a bitter taste and move over to the Sony platform. Hope MS knows what its doing.. It’ll need its core gamers come next gen xbox..!!

Absolutely spot on there friend. What really makes my p*** boil is that MS treat their core customers (the people who bought their machine in the first place) with utter contempt, not only ramming a product no-one wanted or asked for down our throats at every opportunity but also trying to tell us we not only need this piece of garbage and its shovelware games, but we should want it. Its incredible. At least Sony are giving you Move as an option but are far less upfront about it and are still catering to their main audience who again have made the Playstation brand and the gaming division of the company the business it is today. I am fast losing patience with MS. Of course I will continue to buy multiplatform games on the 360 as it is still may platform of choice when it comes to the controller and the consoles online features, but Sony definitely seem to have the upper hand when it comes to exclusives and acknowledge and respect their key customer base and appear to realize we actually pay their wages. There has never been a better time to buy a Ps3 and as I said earlier next gen if MS continue to push motion controls so aggressively I will not be buying the next MS console as I'd rather grind my balls in a meatgrinder than use Kinnect, Move or the Wii(mote).
 
SonicUK mate I think you're forgetting there are still some pretty good exclusives coming out for the 360 regardless whether that the Kinect is out.

I know it's being included in a lot of games however it's not required for all of them, it's nice to see it bring something extra to games. For example the new ghost recon game, or mass effect 3.

Pretty sure thats whats left for the rest of year to go along with the ones we've had up till now.
How i see it is that MS put more effort into third parties, either securing exclsuive or time exclusive games/DLC, where as Sony tend to rely on its far larger 1st party studios. MS have some interestinf kinect core games coming out soon so ill wait and see before i judge them all as casual games.
 
I took the decision to bite the bullet and just order an xbox 360s so now I have both consoles. Definitely think Skyrim will now be order for xbox as it's being developed on the xbox. Both consoles are considerable cheap now when compared to other things that are available.

No No, Do things right, You have a PS3 and 360 ordered, Now you need to buy a PC inorder to enjoy Skyrim :p

They had Infamous 2 earlier this year as well which is probably the most enjoyable game i've played this year so far.

That's just your opinion. Personally i'm really looking forward to Gears 3. It's the only xbox exclusive I am wanting this year.

So I can lounge in comfort and play on a 32" display.

I used to be a PC gamer for years only a couple of years ago I stopped and have not missed it. Console controls for games are becomming more and more intuitive I prefer analog sticks to WASD. Different Stokes my friend :)

EDIT: Also Skyrim is being developed on consoles as the lead platform then ported to PC.

lol, My comment was supposed to be light hearted :p

As for one to miss, No! The PC version has a lot more than the console version with regards to visual settings, and also the mod scene will correct anything that's too console orientated! You should know that by now! :p
 
That in response to me bud? I took it as light hearted :) and the little tinkerers comment was in reference to modders.

I'm not one to state this is better than that and vice versa. All of the platforms have there ups and downs just like everything else.

Just bought a PS3 and only have Little Big Planet 2.

Luckily, a m8 from work gave me a loan of Uncharted 2, MGS4 and Heavy Rain today.

Hopefully these exclusives will keep me going for a while and let me see what the fuss is all about !

Still love my X360 though !

Why not? It will work first time, everytime, requires no drm, no fiddling about, no hardware upgrades and enables me to lounge about on my bed three and a half metres away from my 37" 1080p Lg in perfect comfort. Pls don't turn this into another console vs Pc thread, we have enough of those already.
