It will work first time, everytime, requires no drm, no fiddling about, no hardware upgrades and enables me to lounge about on my bed three and a half metres away from my 37" 1080p Lg in perfect comfort. Pls don't turn this into another console vs Pc thread, we have enough of those already.

Ill actually answer your question nonetheless as its already been touched upon, considering how much modding has gone into Oblivion and over the (vast) length of time the PC version will easily have the longest longevity out of all the platforms which will greatly enhance a RPG game...

PS3 has more exclusives.
However i prefer the 360's exclusives, personally, so the 360 is the console for me.
There's no point owning a PS3 and showing off about how many exclusives you have if you, personally, don't enjoy playing them.

Right so let me get this straight. I replied to a post asking why anyone would want to play Elder Scrolls on a console listing the reasons why, and I am somehow made out to be the one who attempted to turn this thread into one of the millions of PC Vs Console threads? I'm not the one coming out with tat like

If you really feel that strongly about it then why don't you stick to the PC threads instead of coming in here trying to incite a flamewar and then attempting to shift the blame onto someone else for pointing that out? After all, not everyone is interested in running mods and simply want to play the game. Everyone and their pet dog knows that. Think about that the next time you wade into a thread in the console section and start trash talk trolling about how s*** the console version will supposedly be. People in here don't give a crap about the PC version or how "superior" you may think it may be. If they did they'd be in the PC gaming forums section.

Your question was answered in full clarity by another poster before me so read the thread again before commenting such nonsense. There was no need whatsoever for your "question", it was obvious trolling. If you want to do that take it somewhere else (like the PC section for example). I don't wanna read completely unrelated s*** like that in a console thread thanks and I'm sure the thread starter and everyone else feels the same way.

To sum up, My god SonicUK has got his knickers in a twist. You really were nasty to me above! Telling me to go to PC section, etc. Sorry but I've been around this console section along time, and discussions about PC and Console versions of games have always gone on. So I'll stay thank you.

What you've really failed at is you seem to think we're saying the console version is crap, and no one is saying that. we're saying we'd prefer it on PC. For Mods and Community aspects. Which is something that always gets said, by many. You got overly defensive for no reason, you turned this into more of a Versus thread than anyone else did.

My post of saying you only get half the experience on console, Its right. And if you dont play elder scrolls on PC, you wont know. If you do, I dont get how you can get so defensive. Half the experience is the mods. Which you obviously didnt understand(Obviously because you cut my sentence short when quoting it), only a handful of mods reach consoles. And the Draw distance being massive ups the experience also.

Anyways, Calm down! dont be so damn nasty to others! There's no need. The guy Dancula responded nicely, Yet you felt the need to be really aggressive. You wont last long here if you cant get that under control.

I get what you're saying about mods - I enjoy playing Crysis with the Realifesis 2 mod for example - it transforms the graphics and looks photorealistic. I also enjoy Morrowind graphical mods so can relate to the Elder Scrolls comment. I just think there was no need to convey it in the wording that you used, especially in a console thread. If I overreacted I apologize. I didn't come on here for an argument, just to talk to like minded gamers about topics we have a interest in.

Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and the God of War PSP collection is what i am looking forward to on PS3.
Gears of War 3, Halo 1 and Forza 4 are the games i am looking forward to on 360.
Deus Ex and Battefield 3, both available on 360 and PS3 but i will be getting the PC versions.
Yet two of the six games i want on the consoles are remakes/upgrades to games on other machines. Havent played the PSP God of War games, Halo 1 is still the best Halo available so i want both of them. Depending on the price on release of course.

Lets hope the games market doesnt go down the route the movie world seems to be taking right now, with remake after remake. Could be the start of a worrying trend, one that consumers (myself included) will no doubt buy into.

To be honest I kinda liked the fact you'd apologised to me. As you were a little harsh. Hopefully the apology still stands.

I suppose there was a form of elitism going on. But it wasn't PC elitism. If anything it was elder scrolls elitism. A need to have the best version. The one with no limits and most longevity. The one that would have a community behind it looking to make the game perfect with mods and un official patches. In same way oblivion did, and even morrowind has had a mass overhaul. They keep the games alive on PC.

I hope you see my point, and I hope you realise I'm not trying to argue. If anything I'd kinda like this all to be swept under the rug now.

Yeah, no problem mate, I appreciate your post. I was trying to do put this to rest before but ps3do was having none of it and was obviously trying to keep the argument going for whatever reason, personally using abuse which there was absolutely no need for hence my response. I see your point about Elder Scrolls, a friend of mine has Oblivion on Pc and all the mods so I know what it can be like compared to standard. I guess I like console gaming more for the simplicity and in paticular the stability of it all and am just looking forward to playing Skyrim as much as Ive enjoyed Oblivion on my 360.

As I tried to say before though that's no what this thread is about so let's put it behind us and get back on topic.

Multi platform games generally run better on the 360. This isn't because the 360 is better than the PS3,it's usually because devs are lazy and don't/can't try to get the game running as well on the PS3.
