10-15 people from the road I live on got together from 5PM yesterday and they set up a couple of gazebos with camping chairs on the green. Have to give it to them because it started raining not long after they all sat down and I don't think the rain stopped most of the evening and there were still a few of them out there after midnight with music going. The gazebos stayed up until first thing this morning when I guess the least hung-over of them dismantled everything and took it away.

I stayed in with my own music going so I didn't have to listen to their music/cackling all evening. I was invited, but I'm a bit indifferent to the whole thing really, so I left them to it.

Well that was fantastic. Who’d have thought she kept one of those in her handbag

I must be getting old. Craig David has always been cringe and 90% of these modern acts are just terrible. Roll on the big guns later on at night.
Not old, he's always been cringe.

I don't know if it's the actual event or just the TV coverage but there feels like zero atmosphere there or people having fun. At least when you watched Glastonbury on TV the audience look like they're having the time of their lives and not there under duress.

yes who are these people - subtitles are best I think.
- girls singing I'm going to set you house on fire .. yes ok the queens not there but think of the taxpayer
- short guy with guitar and furry cylindrical hat
- bearded person of colour in blue suit with beard.

e: bring back eurovision

I think part of the reason why I am opting to ignore this is because the next event will be practically impossible to avoid, also partly because I am a filthy republican.

At least I will enjoy the bureaucratic mess that is changing all the currency to show... King Charles.
