Play For Dream MR

I'll have to try Steam Link again. On Quest Pro I found the quality was pretty poor, and it was jittery, even with eye tracked foveated encoding.

I can run most games on Virtual Desktop Godlike resolution and the look super sharp and crisp anyway.

But I guess for the higher resolution headsets the foveated encoding might work better.

Pretty sure I seen someone with a Pro ask on the PFD discord if it would work for the Pro, the answer was 'not at the moment' for reasons I can't remember right now.

Wow SteamVR 20, looks amazing on the PFD, so clear and sharp, almost like DisplayPort! The only thing it currently lacks is a version of SSW but I guess that will come later.

Has anyone compared it to the AVP?

AVP now has PSVR2 controller support and solves its wifi bug. No DFR like SL2.0 but I'm enjoying my experience. It's wireless, comfortable. Has a few bugs of course but it's not bad.

Well, I decided to sell my PFD for close to what I bought it (they are currently out of stock and people are really looking to buy them). Fact is I just don't think the PFD is good enough for the money. The lenses are pretty mediocre and I see a lot of glare, the comfort without 3rd party accessories is terrible, the strap is not removeable, and the sound from the built-in speakers is so bad it hurts my ears at any kind of volume. The OS is improving but still janky, it doesnt support google framework out of the box, you cant use YoutubeVR natively and not what I want for a VR device in 2026. Also I cannot play Walkabout Golf due to tracking occlusion, which meant I had to use my Quest Pro for that. But at least wireless PCVR is generally very smooth and hassle-free on the PFD when using VD and SteamLink 2.0, its a solid experience in that regard.

I don't doubt that PFD's next device will blow the original PFD out of the water, but for now I am still waiting on a wireless OLED VR headset with fantastic lenses, better controller tracking, better sound and great comfort. Lets see what Pico 5 and Quest 4 bring to the table.
