PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Wonder how much they spent on this tournament. I assume most of the gear was sponsorships.

Seems the cameraman isn't overly impressed with the tools he's using to spectate players.

Admittedly only watched a little bit (I still prefer playing to watching(no kwango!)).

A lot of it has been sponsored by the $2.50 crate keys no doubt, and also by the 8 million copies sold, probably some sponsorship too, saw 'monitors by samsung' at the side of the screen.

FWIW i think the cameraman and the commentators were out of touch with each other, but I loved the spectator view and hope thats what we get for post match reviews, would be great.

I tried to watch it but those commentators' voices...
I thought the same at first but they grew on me after a while. Actually found it very entertaining to watch and I usually hate esports. Certainly better than the boring comentator they had for the charity match a while back.

Also I loved that they had pan trophies :D.

Use Steam overlay for FPS.
Thanks for that info, very handy to have.

At 1080P with...
AA - High
Display Mode - Fullscreen
Effects - Very Low
Foliage - Medium
Post Processing - Medium
Res Scale - 100
Shadows - Medium
Textures - Medium
View Distance - Ultra

I'm getting an average of 40-55fps in game, and that is during general gameplay not when there is action/firefight happening, and it can drop down to 30fps or below when it gets hectic on screen. I think I might have to invest in a Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 AMP Edition 6Gb card which I hope will get my FPS up.

I dunno, I quite enjoy the tension of having to precisely time a jump over a knee high wall that may or may not be too high to clear, and then spending 2 mins swearing as I run around it..

I'm at the point now that I just shotgun or automatic fire white fences rather than running around them.

Also I'd like the new map too.

Yeah, I second that, however i'm not sold on that screenshot from yesterday, looks like a sniping/camping paradise.

Nothing yet. I was mainly hoping for the shadowplay fix to be rolled out, still refuses to work for me

According to Reddit, an Nvidia rep said some customers using Windows 7 were getting this issue. I'm using Windows 7 and have the problem.

don't think it's actually a pubg issue though - at least going by the reply above. guessing it's up to NVidia to sort that? just stream it for the time being, then download all of those pro clips of me 360 no scoping people a mile away!

How come you're keeping your settings so high with such a bad fps?

the shadowplay update has knackered my streaming too, cant even record direct anymore. Should spend some time sorting it out later

They need a "pre kill" cheat feed like we used in TF2, its the only way spectating this game will be worth it before last 10 players.

Unfortunately, that requires a delay in spectator (ie. Sourcetv) as well as on point observers / camera director.

Just finished second place - my joint best so far. I was playing first person and really enjoyed it. Got nailed really early on and had no items so spent the best part sneaking around hoping to find some loot. Managed to get an AK and a shottie and killed one person. What made this interesting was that me and the last person we the last 2 for about 4 circles worth. What followed was about 15 minutes tense moving around slowly taking pop shots before I eventually got shot down. I almost feel like they could add another 25-50 players if possible.
