Vaulting will totally change the gameplay in this, looking forward to it, no more getting 'stuck' on stupid fences.
The past 2 nights have been a bit of a rollercoaster for me... I'd started to feel like I was a bit crap compared to some of the guys I play with so since they weren't online I jumped in solo with the intention of dropping in the School everytime to try and pump up my combat experience (as that really felt like where I was struggling most)... So Tuesday night I must have played 20+ games in quick succession, lasting probably barely longer than a few minutes (sometimes barely 10 seconds!) after landing... I would get killed when I failed to get a weapon in time, I'd get killed when I did get a weapon but completely whiffed my shots or got taken by surprise... overall with barely a single kill in 20 games I was at an all time low...
Then last night I tried again and things went much better - only had time for 3 games because they were longer this time and I was top 10 in all of them (top 5 in 2!) - with 4, 5 and 9 kills... Was it luck? I don't know, definitely one of the games I landed right on the roof next to an AKM which helped a ton, but the other two weren't so great, having to jump off the roof with no weapon and scrabble around looking for something, then take someone better armed by surprise... Great fun!
I know that feeling, before I had really good wide vision and even could see around pillars a bit easier, problem being with 3440x1440 on a massive screen is people in the distance looked like pixels, sadly now I can't really see much around corners or behind pillars however I can see people in the distance now and that's where I struggled the most to be honest.I can never decide what to set my FOV at.
I always drop miles from anywhere on my own, i like to explore slowly, and build up my stash before going in to battle
So do I, normally, but I think if you do that a lot the problem is you end up in combat so rarely that you're not well practiced enough to survive (at least in my experience)... I figure once I can drop into the "hot" areas of the map and hold my own I can go back to dropping to where I think is a good balance of risk vs loot and not be total garbage when I do finally run into other players
It's the circle of life.Loot by killing, it's the best way
