PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

I love the game, but without bug fixes i feel like as it stands today im fighting the game engine just as much as the other players. Playing less of it now due to that frustration.

I had a weird one last night.

Closed a door as I was sort of stood in the door frame and the door trapped me, and I couldn't open it. Managed to shoot the crap out of it with my Vector to free myself

yes i commonly get stuck in doors.:p

little tip for those who cant jump out windows without a bind macro.

hold in left shift and w as you would to run and instead of trying to hit c and space together you just aim your head at the window ledge and press jump (space bar) only if you do this at right angle you land inside window then crouch and drop out. so basically all you doing is just pressing spacebar. when you get it right and used to doing this you can jump out literally every time and what many big streamers use.;) not a bind.

The past 2 nights have been a bit of a rollercoaster for me... I'd started to feel like I was a bit crap compared to some of the guys I play with so since they weren't online I jumped in solo with the intention of dropping in the School everytime to try and pump up my combat experience (as that really felt like where I was struggling most)... So Tuesday night I must have played 20+ games in quick succession, lasting probably barely longer than a few minutes (sometimes barely 10 seconds!) after landing... I would get killed when I failed to get a weapon in time, I'd get killed when I did get a weapon but completely whiffed my shots or got taken by surprise... overall with barely a single kill in 20 games I was at an all time low...

Then last night I tried again and things went much better - only had time for 3 games because they were longer this time and I was top 10 in all of them (top 5 in 2!) - with 4, 5 and 9 kills... Was it luck? I don't know, definitely one of the games I landed right on the roof next to an AKM which helped a ton, but the other two weren't so great, having to jump off the roof with no weapon and scrabble around looking for something, then take someone better armed by surprise... Great fun!

drop down on the floor at the front of the school.the front right corner because less risk more often then not a gun as soon as you run in and then to left in gym corridor guns and helmets. i often do that gets 2/3 kills unless loads drops then go flats.also cars in almost every direction close by.both compounds nearest and outside school.so maximum loot.plenty of chances to kill and vehicles.

I had a barren spell for a couple of weeks in single player, then finally got another win at the weekend. Since then I've had lots of good gun luck, numerous top 10 finishes, and more importantly, quite a few close quarter kills. That makes me happy :).

Anyone know if there's any discount codes available or anything? Really want to play this but money is a bit tight at the minute for a game with such mixed reviews.

just buy it.i know you say money is tight but you will make your money back just selling un opened cases you get for free on steam market.4-5 of them a week 2 months it will of paid for itself.even if you pay highest retail price. i think there will be another event soon hopefully for halloween.

Messing around with FOV and lowered it a bit more so I can now actually see people which is awesome. Had 3 chicken dinners last few days (1 solo, 2 squad) with 19 kills spread out over the 3 games which I was pretty happy with. You can buy the key from cd key sites for around £21, my friend got one of the skirts from a crate and made back bank from that, covered his game costs and some.

I have had a similar experience as well. I managed 2 kills in about 10 games on Tuesday night. Last night I had a 4th and 5th place finishes and most games getting 2-3 kills. I think it may have been due to the new season which supposedly started yesterday so all stats have been reset (even though season 5 leaderboards arent up yet). It is likely that everyone is at the same level again so matching is more random - than being with all of the better players (and a few cheats no doubt). There was also a small patch I noticed yesterday although that could be for the start of the new season as well.

I can never decide what to set my FOV at.
I know that feeling, before I had really good wide vision and even could see around pillars a bit easier, problem being with 3440x1440 on a massive screen is people in the distance looked like pixels, sadly now I can't really see much around corners or behind pillars however I can see people in the distance now and that's where I struggled the most to be honest.

I always drop miles from anywhere on my own, i like to explore slowly, and build up my stash before going in to battle :)

So do I, normally, but I think if you do that a lot the problem is you end up in combat so rarely that you're not well practiced enough to survive (at least in my experience)... I figure once I can drop into the "hot" areas of the map and hold my own I can go back to dropping to where I think is a good balance of risk vs loot and not be total garbage when I do finally run into other players

I think this maybe my problem, not enough combat

Got the game a few days ago and not really enjoying it, this kind of game really should be my cup of tea as well.

Struggling with frame rate as well, even with everything on low its sluggish and feels like there massive input lag (I am used to cs:go though) this is a major issue when dropping in to populated areas so it's difficult to improve the combat skills! Only running at 1080p with a 480 4gb so it should be ok.

New found appreciation for the Crossbow, guy managed to get into the back seat of a buggy so while he was face palming it gave me a nice easy shot. Wasn't a headshot but was a nice silent one hit kill
