I support the choice to remove the pre-game guns as well.
Really irritating when someone comes up to you and unloads a Groza to deafen you before the game even starts...

Aye, there's a mute all button for a reason, I hit that from lobby loading until I hit the ground in game

I have my game volume at about 70% and my sound mixer that the headphones are plugged into at 85% volume.
It's the same volume settings I use for most games... I like having the game fairly loud because it just feels stupid hearing quiet gun shots when playing, but pre-game it's just a mess of noise with all the guns going off. It's made worse when someone stands next to you with one of the loudest guns in the game.

I didn't know there's a button to mute the in-game sounds...

I usually alt tab out of the lobby to browse the forums and twitter or check my emails so the sound is on to remind me that I need to parachute out of a plane

+1, from lobby until my chute pulls and also in red zones.

@Chris [BEANS] Unlucky dude, bet the other guy was laughing though. I managed to do the same in duos the other day using the death trike, knocked out one and chased other around while he tried to rescue his mate
