PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

same dude.

getting 4-6 kills a game is very enjoyable, especially when they only last a short time. getting a kar98 or better is now insane!

It’s a shame its not ranked though but good for a warm up. Got my first chicken dinner on it yesterday with my trusty frag grenade finish. The fact that you don’t have to travel far between circles means you can spend more time prone which is cool.

Rather than leg it into an open area to make the circle and get spotted you can get down low. Nothing more fun than picking people off with a supressed weapon and they have no idea where it came from.
This is why I hate Sanhok

There's no skill involved just luck whether you happen to be in the middle of circle or not and can prone in the long grass instead of having to run in and get picked off

it depends how you play it. doesnt it ?

you can go prone.camp in a shed.or you can go full balls out.thats not a map issue.just a persons play style.

you play pubg how you want to.you can go just for kills.play just to win.whatever you want.

i personally dont play it much because it isnt ranked.in a way im glad in a kinda way it isnt ranked as it is easier to win on it or place low.would really effect stats.especially if you only grinded on that map.which is the easiest of all three maps.

Pretty much PUBG in a nut shell, no skill involved 90% of the match, it's all just luck and being at mercy of the loot table

I'll be honest, I've barely come across anyone who's been prone in the grass in Sanhok. They're usually behind a tree/rock, waiting/kneeling at the edge of the circle or in a building.

I’ve given up, partly because I don’t seem get any better and the frustration of looting for 10-20 mins to be one shotted at random is just too much time invested for little fun.

Man, so close to getting a win. 3 x 2nds and a few 3rds lately. (Yes I am bad :p)

Seen quite a few prone people on Sanhook, also got quite a few kills being stealth/prone. :)

Then Sanhok is for you. Quicker circles, less distance to cover and plenty of loot. Erangel is so poor for loot now its no fun at all.

you have to put time in and learn the maps. there is plenty of skill in it. loot is easy to get if you know where to go. many claim they know where to go then you play with them see they have no idea.

for eg. some sheds or smaller places hold more loot than whole cities.yet people just hot drop on big places like pochinki or los leones for eg.when there are smaller places where you can drop no one else goes and you looted instantly first few minutes.

learning where to go and not go is massive . also when to move is a skill.so many get this wrong.stay to long ponder.then you dead.then blame campers.

the real art to pubg is adapting be sure in what you doing.learning what guns work for you.looting places which give you the best loot with least risk of being killed.

anyone over 1900+ FP please report to discord for squads :D

As I say, for 90% of the game, there is no skill involved. The 10% skill comes from knowing the maps like you mention and being able to aim/out smart players and getting to the end game, and the end game is where your skill will show. But any game that relies on loot or rng based elements can not be a skill based game. Ever. Plenty of people hold that opinion.

It's all very well saying "there is loot if you know where to go", which is great, but you might not be able to go there if the flight path is rubbish or if it's directly over so it's a busier than normal drop, in which case you have to rely on the building you landing at having a gun in. Also, you might think certain places are consistently good loot, but they aren't, the nature of loot tables prevent that from being the case. Whenever I land in Rozhok, I always land at the same building, and the loot is never the same. Some times I'll land and get an Kar98 with a 4x and an M4 nearly kitted out and can go on a charge, other times I'll land and there won't be a single gun in the building and the guy next door is kitted up and blows me away. Where's the skill involved in that? I might be a better player than him but because the game screwed me over with loot, I can't really use my skill as I don't have a weapon to attack, you could argue that the skill is being able to run away and get kitted up to stay in the game, but in a busy drop like Rozhok, again, you're at the mercy of who landed where.

I love the game, I'm not trying to discredit its success or take away from the fact that you can be good at the game. But your skill is worth nothing if the game feels like dealing you an unlucky hand and giving you no loot. I mentioned the end game, even then, as much as there is skill involved, the circle can screw you over and give someone who is terrible a brilliant position, skillful players will sometimes be able to overcome that but again, there's random element to it, which prevents it being all about skill

picking good various areas for loot is a skill within itself.rozhok for eg should never be visited.its pointless.the loot is bad also a high visited area.so your risking higher probability of dying for a bad reward = stupid place to land.

ideally you want a quiet place with high probability of loot. there are many areas on all maps.that is a skill in choosing how to optimize your chance of getting good loot.dropping in a bad place each time shows no skill or learning from playing. i do get what you saying about the loot but if you not switching it up.then you are not showing any learning or skill to improve the chance to win. if someone can drop same game as you and get better loot constantly or higher probability.thats not luck its skill .

good players will do this constantly.

for eg me and locky on desert map last week have found a few sheds which probably yield as much loot as los leones which can be looted in a few minutes.yet no one goes there.same as other routes i have.95 percent of the time drop in = sniper and ar and scopes on drop within 1-2 minutes. no one hardly ever goes there.cause most people think big place = better loot.when its not. you have more people visiting a bigger place.so more risk and more people searching for same loot.

so work that out in a probability scale you are likely to get less loot hot dropping big places.than smaller less visited places.also less risk.its nice i been showing people this recently and i see better players acknowledging this and visit these areas now.then you see the wins increase.while others dont listen you see they are still hot dropping and struggling to progress.

if you want come join me later.on discord.

Loving this new map, easier to learn its ins and outs as I still don't really know where to go for the two big maps. So close to my first chicken dinner as well.
