PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

What long awaited ranking system ? Just more of an excuse for lack of maps, maps are the bread and butter of an FPS and PUBG is lacking, If they are worried about server populations and they should be just lock it to 2 maps and change them on a daily basis.

Its lost it shine, and more to the point sick and tired of the cheating, especially the I know where you are radar which 80% of the players now seem to use.

Even though I personally thought the whole pubg system is better than black out (apart from desync) I think they are in deep trouble in 9 days

Personally I don't see it - Different styles, different games - I suspect PUBG will still survive very nicely despite blackout launching.
 
Could be beneficial to both. COD has such a big player base that BO may open many eyes to BR games such as PUBG.

Also PUBG players who play BO will likely switch playing between both games as they're quite different.
 
You'd have to be pretty rancid to be less than an Elite ranking. I tend to only play Squad/FPP/EU where my rating is usually around Master.

Feel like I've played Sanhok to death a bit lately, might go back to Erangel for a bit.

Yeah, Fortnite only has 1 map, which probably explains why Fortnite has struggled to gain any sort of playerbase since it was released. They needed more maps, not skins if they wanted it to be a success.
 
I think, in theory I'm looking forward to the ranking system. Now I've no delusions about the fact that I'm likely to be quite low down in it, but if it means the matchmaking is better (i.e. exists at all) then my games could be more fun.

I'm interested in the faceit stuff for the same reason, but an in-game ranking system would be more convenient.
 
im kinda a little worried that many have cried about the match making the map selection and now it roles out it could actually cause big problems to the playerbase splitting it up and losing players. making waiting times longer.

will have to see how it goes. they need to get this right quick.

Agreed, seen that happen before where they fracture the playerbase too much. Also a common problem in MOBAs where the high ranks can take ages to find a game, add in map selection and that will likely only get worse. Maybe map selection shouldn't be an option if you choose to play ranked? If ranked is a separate mode as it is in MOBAs.

Ooooooooooo Fortnite.... Fortnite is a success because 8 year olds play it, has multiple game modes (so i am told) and they ask mom for money for skins and spend more time practicing dance moves rather than a BR game.

So yeah its a success if your a casual console hack or a millennial with tattoos.
 
Had my first game last night in about 4 months, was quite fun with the new smaller maps and got to 3rd place, loved it! Gonna give it another bash tonight.
