PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Sometimes, I even scare maybe 8 or 9 people, then they flea from my fearsome fire rate that I've been laying into the trees in their vague direction.

Lets not get into this debate of whether its a survival game or a killing game... and whether winning is better than killing people.
Lets not make up stats about having huge amounts of high kill games and being the bestest of the best etc etc..

We all know winning a game with a high amount of kills is by far more rewarding mentally than winning with 0/1 kills a game.
Winning with low kills is boring and I mean boring as ****, I'm not in the game to socialise with my mates, I'm there to attack, out-think my opponent and put some lead into the skulls of the enemy.
I dunno about you guys, but I play games for maximum enjoyment, not to pass the time while I talk to my mates.

If you're not playing for maximum enjoyment, then you're just another one of those average joes who play the game, and all you've done with the numerous hours you've put into PUBG is that you've just figured the best way you can avoid people to ensure you get that final winning kill. If you feel your satisfied by the fake 'Winner Winner Chicken Dinner' with a measly 1 kill, you're missing the best aspect of the game.

PUBG is based on a survival film called battle royal. where the whole objective is to survive and be the last one. what good is how many kills you got if you dont survive ? all that proves is you cant survive. yes you can choose to play how you want and theres nothing wrong with that. but...dont get confused..the whole premise of the game is about survival. fact. thats why all comp play is based on position you finish. not kills.

it is more rewarding winning with higher kills. i will give you that. as i said though how many high kill games do you honestly pull off ? you pull off a couple per season of say 8+.

some low kill games can be equally rewarding especially if its a really tactical game or you just get shafted. sometimes especially if you a sniper you can get 10 knocks no kills. i get it all the time.

i have played with you and do like to attack and play it basically like a cod game. so its understandable. you will generally get more kills playing like that but less wins.

people do enjoy winning. no one way is wrong how to play the game. you get your enjoyment from killing. with the occasional win. thats fine. others like me prefer to win and enjoy it just as much. the thing is people who confuse getting more wins with maybe low kills that they possibly cant do the run and gun cod style. when they can and can kill just as many and more than that typical cod style pubg player.

as for fake winner winner dinner. id take that over a mindless drop in sanhok get 3 kills and be dead and restarting again in two minutes. sure playing that way eventually you get lucky pull off a ten win game out of 200.

in the meanwhile i would have won 100 more games and still got the same high kill amount as you have playing more tactical over the season.

i wish more would learn the finer points of pubg.

Can I join the willy waving? Easy game, kills and wins.

I read that Season 5 will have slightly better ranking, so I might actually grind for the parachute.

I'm basically never, ever, going to play with you. You'd make me look too bad. I prefer to look good when I play with my regular plebs.

Shimmy, well played dude, frikkin brilliant stats tbh.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on play style, let me know if you ever fancy a game! :)

Shimmy you've always been by far the best player who posts on here
*Swoon*
Your squad win rate is not all that.
Yeah you can check the stats of the mates I play with (0.5-1 K/D) but they still like to take fights, this more often than not means leaves me as the last guy alive. But I don't want to make the 3 other chaps spectate rather than playing in the limited time they have, so I quit out or find the nearest squad to die to. So yeah we don't win that many squad/duo games :D

Cheers fella, see you play really similar!
Solos this season I was a try hard, relatively quiet start to get geared then aggressively clearing the circle and doing an instant rotate if the circle required it.
Duos/Squads I just follow the flow of my mates really as it's more about the social side; don't really have anyone I can play keen with.
And yeah definitely up for games - https://steamcommunity.com/id/kingjah

You need to get rid of teammates like that :D

Last season when I went tryhard I averaged 5kd and 500 ish damage over the first 500 or so games but tapered off when I got to 900 ish.

This season not so great but been doing missions and messing about in boot camp baiting people into traps as its more fun.

When the new stats and rank system comes out ill go back to tryhard and be very selective who I'm going to play with.

I have no desire to play solo's or duo's, just bored me to death.

Careful what you wish for Shimmy, in high pressure situations you can find @MarkA with a crossbow as primary weapon providing "fire support" :D :D
