Playing Half Life 2 for the first time

Remember playing hl2 with the early rift developers kit, kinda hoping it works with the vive.

That and black mesa, be wonderful to re-visit both. Two of the very few games I've played to completion.
 
Cinematic mod for HL2 is great visually, though it made it rather laggy in parts on my system. Just don't enable the almost porn like female models...unless you are into that! Play it through vanilla first, then you can see how it changes with mods.

I wouldn't call them DLC, they're their own stand alone games and continuations of the story. The difference being is they are a little shorter due to valve releasing the sequels in three two episodic parts.

I envy you. I wish I could enjoy it for the first time again, I'd go in for a brain wipe if I could. I've played it so many times I know every inch of it and even though its been many years my memory is still fresh as if it were yesterday. :(

Ahhh the Raymond Lin thread of woes and aguish, man I remember absolutely cracking up at that thread. It used to be in the archive but not sure now. Til this day anytime I see him post I automatically think about that epic fail :D

Oh man, lucky you. It's a great game. I played it and the 2 episodes about a month ago. Just brilliant.

Getting the hang of it now - I was trying to jump off the ladder all the time, seems to be easier to just walk off even if it looks like you need to jump...

Awesome game by the way. Loving the hoverbike thing!
