Playstation 3 or Wii

Hiya :)

I'm debating if I should choose a Playstation 3 or a Wii.

I currently own a Xbox 360 / HD TV. I'm not sure if I should go for the Wii because its different and has a handful of cheesy fun games that I tend to like (Cooking Moma, Endless Ocean etc) or the PS3 which would only be used for one or two games (Gran Turismo / Formula One).

Its a hard decision because there are no games apart from Formula One on the Playstation 3 that interest me, or any in the near future but its a BluRay player.

The way I've got it thought out in my head at the moment is "Do I buy a Wii, enjoy the games and buy a standalone Blu Ray player in the future. Or, do I buy a PS3 as a Blu Ray player but only use it for one or two games."

Any thoughts?

My current positon stands at:

PS3 - Currently own no games (Well Warhawk I've got), use for streaming media (vids/music)
Wii - Own about 13 games, rarely play them unless friends over. Play occasionally with the GF.

If I could get rid of one it would be the Wii as I know I'll eventually buy some PS3 games and play it SP and MP.

Probably not as I'm looking forward to Home and like I said I will eventually buy games for it :) I can imagine myself playing with a normal pad a lot more than the wiimotes etc. Not really down with that lingo yet.

Oh and I'd keep the 360 over all three without doubt.
 
I guess i get a lot more bang for buck with the PS3. Just deciding if the few games on wii is worth a future investment (Blu Ray etc).

And by the way, just looked at "Home" and looks very cool!
 
thats a tough one , but if you like the wii games more i would say get a wii, its a bit pointless getting a ps3 for 2 games?

get a standalone blu player in the future , might be cheaper then?

saying that ive got a ps3 and im happy with it , at the moment my 360 is gathering dust but when bully comes out soon it will get used

When a game comes out on both platforms, which would you choose when home is incorporated into the PS3? Tough?

At the moment 360 everytime purely for the fact most of my friends own a 360 as do the majority on here who I usually game with.

When the PS3 first came out a lot bought one and I played F1, motorstorm, RFOM with them but then sold theres!!

For me it will have little to do with a % of performance here or there and all to do with my RL friends and family all having and playing the 360 and very few having a ps3.

I would reconsider as that changes.
