Playstation 3 Trophies

I'm keeping my eye on this one to see if I can integrate it somehow into the gamertag site I run, all depends on whether the data is visible outside of the PS3.

There is a definite hint in a interview that sony are working on some form of website to view others' gametags. Whether it'll be ready for the release of 2.4 is a different matter.
 
I would have thought every single new release will have trophies in from now on..

Are we gonna get like a gamerscore, I'm not sure how xbox works but will people only be able to see how good I am if they are on my friends list?
 
Regarding the new trophies, will they be backdated?

By this I mean if there was a trophy for completeing game X on normal mode and you'd already done this would you get the trophy or would you have to re-do everything.

I'm sorry but I disagree with that and I'm not just trying to stick up for Nokkon because I've disagreed with him plenty of times, you can't just choose one console to be the best, sometimes the 360 has new features etc and deserves to be praised/criticised, other times the PS3 will have new features like the up and coming 2.4 update and also deserves to be praised/criticised, the whole opinion system is dynamic, that's what you don't seem to get, this isn't a football tournament, just because Nokkon has given a positive opinion on a feature on the PS3 it doesn't suddenly mean "OMG Nokkon thinks the PS3 is the ROXERS!!!!!!!111OnE!!!11oNE111!!".

You probably think I'm a PS3 fanboy but I will tell you right now the only criticism I have about the 360 is the hardware, thats it, I enjoyed using live, I've been a member of it since day one when they XBOX was launched, and I also think it has an awesome selection of games so please think twice before you think I'm some rampart PS3 fanboy, the day a silent reliable 360 is out is the day I run down the shops and plant my readies on the counter.

i give it couple of months before the hackers find a way round editing save files like can be done with the 360., and seeing save files on PS3 are easily obtained the whole trophey system will be useless in 6 months time
