PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

I like the idea of a 40" 4K TV. I sit about 2 feet away from my 40" 1080p and can see the pixels. My room is too small for much bigger than that screen size.

Yeah if I was sat further away I'd adjust the size accordingly. Also I went for a Samsung UE43KS7500 in the end, seems a good balance of price/quality

I have my eye on the KS7000, but am going to wait for confirmation that the new software update reduces input lag in game mode when HDR is enabled.

Tempted to pick up the slim and reselling when the pro drops so I'm not without a console for the next 2 months. Not sure what the resale value would be like on slim's a couple of months old?

I have a 4K tv, no HDR though...

Might look at a HDR tv once the new Xbox lands next year.

Philips 43PUT4900 for £280 is currently a great bargain! No smart features, just a great TV (and PC monitor, got one as my second screen).

60hz is 4:2:0, makes stuff look a bit weird.

You want 4:4:4 at 60hz

I haven't got HDR either, but I'm still getting a pro. I will still get a nice graphical bump to 4K and I can treat myself to a 4K OLED when prices drop next year.

Yeh, I bought the 43" version of this. It is just a placeholder until I get an OLED version.
Not a bad picture for the price though, I must say.

Wonder if someone can give me the short and sweet on this.

Is there any benefit upgrading to the Pro if you're staying on 1080p for the time being? Alternatively I could look at grabbing a cheap Phillips 40' 4K but I hate laying out heaps extra (in form of a new 4K HDR TV) for a console I've barely touched since completing Uncharted 4.
