That's because sony shafts the EU with regards to the store. The japanese and US store is far better than ours:mad:
 
I’m still in too minds as to if I should sign up…

I might get mileage out of Sam n Max, if Monkey Island landed on this, or Super Stardust HD, but you don’t actually own the games…

But then 12 months is a long time, and in 3 or more years time the PS3 will be old news and PS4 around the corner, does that really matter…?? If its £40 a year, then I can, or I’m willing to pay it each year so effectively I do own the games for as long as I want to keep my PS3…??

As I said in two minds, Street Figher HD mix and Sam n Max could tempt me… Hmmm….. I just know I’m a bit bad for going for these types of deals and then not using them… I had my PS3 sat gathering dust for 12 months before I decided to give it another go with Uncharted 2 and Red Dead Redemption.. lol

Is Ratchet and Crank only free for those who sign up this month and not for those who have signed up for 12 months previously?

Many would have already signed up for the 12 month contract in despite already owning LBP. It seems a little off to now offer a game which fewer people will have for free but not make it available to those who have already shown loyalty and signed up.

I think its only for people who sign up this month.
 
Looks like August subscribers will get a copy of LBP eventually :)

I hope everyone who has signed up during Aug has enjoyed the continued LBP sign up offer?! Can anyone confirm how good Warhawk is? The reason being is that the DLC for it currently is 50% off in Augusts PSN+ while the proper game is going to be 20%-50% off in this months PSN+.

Wondering if its worth getting the DLC while its still up then getting the actual game in the PSN store refresh...

It's only good if you have people to play it with IMO.

I really enjoyed warhawk early in its life, but i've not played in ages. I've no idea of the current state or it. With regards to how many are online playing, etc.
 
Sounds like its not worth it - was probably expecting to play it with people here but thinking about it Ive never seen anyone on my FL ever in it. Ill leave it then...

Yeah, Warhawk has had it's day imo, was fun at the beginning, but last time I played it was populated by leet noob killers who utterly destroy you.
Especially on the flying levels.
 
when is the PSN+ updated, I've just checked and there is nothing new however last months "free" stuff is now being charged for.. I thought the new stuff would be available today ?
 
The new content is available if you search for each bit individually, but they appear to have forgotten to update the icons on the PS+ page! :facepalm:

Agreed - EU PSN as a whole is pathetic - its like they do their best to make it crap as it does seem to take effort to be as comparatively poor compared to US PSN. Im not even talking about content, just the layout is still not as good (has got better than it was I have to admit)

Seems like they've remember and updated it now..

The fish tank theme is not bad for nothing, and I hope Sam n Max is as good as the old PC games.

One thing I'm rather disappointed with though is the automatic downloads, before I got it I was under the impression that all new demos etc would be downloaded during your set time.. I've had the PSN+ now for about a month and only had 1 demo download and that was shortly after getting it a month ago. There's been plenty of demos out since then and not 1 has been downloaded as I expected. The Vanquish demo has been out for a couple of days now and that has downloaded, Mafia II also etc etc.

More avaliable demos and way better selection of PSOne Classics. This applies to both U.S and Japanese PSN's.

And whilst it is just a minor little feature that they've had since forever, I like the the fact that on Japanese and U.S account access on your PS3, there are little news bulletins that are updated and scroll along in the time/friends/notification box area.
 
I was browsing the USA PSN+ last night and their offerings are a hell of a lot better than the EU Store as usual.

They still haven't update the EU Store to use proper categories and folders within categories like the USA store has had for the past year...


It is a bit of a joke how they treat the EU Store and EU Gamers.


Oh well at least I managed to grab the Castle Crashers demo, then have to wait another X amount of weeks for the EU Store release, WOOHOO Sony
 
Anyone else noticed that Sam & Max - The Devils Playhouse on PSN+ is license free? Theres no expiry date on any of the chapters like normal PSN+ free products - its usually either the end of your years subscription or a year from when you downloaded/activated the game...
