It will do. They're all made the same, your's isn't some magical premium display that doesn't suffer the inherent defects of OLED.
It's only usually visible in complete darkness - I'd suggest looking closer and under the right conditions.

My Vita has it. Very small imperfections on a dark screen when viewing in a dark room. Otherwise it's completely fine!
Or you could, you know, not do that?

lol - I wasn't suggesting to do so, just that's how you can see it.
It's annoying but Sony aren't going to fix it, so just something we have to live with.

Luckily I don't need you to believe me. My Samsung galaxy s2 phone has this effect in a pitch black room, and if my vita has it too then it is far too slight of an effect to be seen at any brightness in a pitch black room with a black screen.
I don't doubt that it's an inherent issue in oled screens but the effect varies hugely to the point that some screens have no observable defect.

It seems to tie itself to the vita/profile, use the cart in another vita and you have to wipe all data.

Mine has a bad splodge that is about a inch up from bottom of screen and is about quarter of a inch thick and goes full length across screen but it doesn't show up on black loading screens it seems to appear on some dark screens and if light is shining on screen that's when I can see it

That's due to some company sponsoring it in the US though. Not to do with SCEA or SCEE.
I'm glad everyone else' all black screens look odd in the dark, assumed it was just mine. Nice.
lol. Phone light saved the day for me.
Also, if they want the PS3 version they have to pay £9.99 So to get both cost us £4.79 and them $9.99.
With 4 player split screen I'm glad I've got both.

Telling us what games you have helps to get friends with similar tastes or that you'll be able to get multiplayer with.
