As I said at the time, everything we had form Sony said Wednesday including the announcement they put out on Tuesday! It was only in a bloody comment that anyone confirmed that it was actually Friday here.

Network apsses are included in all new games. Only if you buy 2nd hand will you need to but the network pass.


In other news

MGS HD was confirmed for the 28th June. No word yet on if that is Japan only or WW.
Phantasy Star Online 2 will be coming to Vita and is now no longer a PC exclusive. Players will play on the same server and will be able to play as the same character on both.
Sony added 62 new titles to the UMD transfer programme for those in Japan.

Will we be getting the UMD Transfer and MGS looks awesome one of the reason I brought the Vita, hope it's the 28th of June. :D Thanks for the screens Todge.

I had no idea there was going to be a new Phantasy Star Online so this is great news. This game cost me so much money when I had it on dreamcast playing it through dialup. I had phone bills of about £200 a month just playing it.

I hope they wont make it like Phantasy Star Universe. They messed up with that one.

No UMD programme outside of Japan. They cited the fact that PSP games are much cheaper here on the PSN than in Japan as part of the reason.

It's MGS 2 and 3 remastered in HD for the 360/PS3/Vita.

If you own the Vita and PS3 versions you can transfer your save between them.

Were you beating their times from the pit wall or just beating them in the races? You only get the trophy if you select the time from the pitwall and then it loads up and you get a "challenge beaten" message.

If you beat 10 you get a trophy, if you beat 20 you unlock another livery apparently. I'm at about 15 but I need more times to beat



Hopefully it'll be out before then! I've not played the Demo yet and shooters are not typically my thing so I probably won't get it anyway, but I know plenty of folk do.



It was indeed me :) The one I ordered and had to modify works perfectly but the small one that I hoped might do it without a mod does not at all :(.

Kreeeee has suggested that charging with the modded one might cause damage to some portable battery chargers as they are being sucked harder than they want though.



When did you beat them? I'll have to have a look but when I was playing yesterday around lunchtime the only people who were regularly faster than me were Syronin and Murray (Muracle on PSN). MrMen was faster on a couple and there might have been a couple of others in places.

Will have to play it today and see ;)


EDIT: BTW I love that in Motorstorm the PS3 version has all of my fastest times and stats transferred from the Vita version so that I can just pick up and play and still see exactly what my best is. When full big games support this I'm going to be in heaven.

It's the same game that's already on a console that practically everyone that has a Vita already has. Why do I want to re-buy an existing game to play it on the train etc? :(

Give me a proper Vita designed MGS game... not a port with some random touch controls shoved on.

Ah OK, and yeah can't wait also, was gonna pick it up on PS3 last night but got Uncharted 3 instead to go with my new 3D tv :D


I'm guessing the Jap version will have English lang option?

Ahh fair play. I had a look this morning and I saw a few of your times. On one I was beating your ghost on every lap but I'm still behind you so it must have downloaded an old ghost or something.


Just need to get 3 more medals and then get my total time down to under 40 minutes and the plat is mine!

EDIT: Also MGS HD has been confirmed for the Summer in the west for the Vita.

lol - I hate to say it but Uncharted 3 in 3D isn't very good. The 3D is relatively poor (when compared to say the Avatar game as a weak example) and with Uncharted having such detailed environments, the loss of resolution makes for a "disappointing" experience.

I found myself starting out playing in 3D and swiftly switching back to actually enjoy the game. Much the same as with Killzone 3 come to think of it.

Meh its only to try out 3D gaming with a game that supports 3D instead of using the TV so not really bothered, mostly got 3D for movies now and again
