Unfortunately, it's just a common occurrence of OLED screens

Cheeky request, but I don't suppose anyone has the discount code for PSN Touch My Katamari that they don't want/need? If so I'd really appreciate it. I've not played a Katamari game and I'm looking for something a bit different.

Completed Uncharted Golden Abyss

Ive been playing this game 3days now and this evening i started out on level 24 and decided id play through until completion. I must say i LOVED this game, to even think such a game can be played on a handled device is simply astonishing. :p

Game play 9/10
Graphics 9/10
Sound 9/10
Story 8/10

Overall 8.5/10 :D

Now i need to find another game, im overseas at the moment and the local store only has golden abyss and Modnation Racers: Roadtrip.

Is Modnation Racers: Roadtrip any good?

Luckily for me my screen has no issues so far so Im happy

From what I understand though your problem isnt a major issue. It only happens on completely black screens and not in actual games so nothing to worry about

Finally got the Wall Trophy on Motorstorm :) Thanks for the help on that guys.

Just cracking on with Unit 13 now. It is an amazing game for a handheld. No story as all the reviews have said but you know what for me the game hits the spot. It doesnt need a story at all. Mission after mission is great and with the diveristy they have its great. Being a handheld its nice to trun it on. Play a mission and play someything else after without having to sit through cut scene after cut scene. I do love those style games too BUT I feel Unit 13 is suited for this quick pick up and play style :)

The graphics are cool too and the gameplay is sweet. Overall my favourite game so far on the Vita. The daily challenge is great too BUT I do feel there must be some cheats on the leaderboards already which is annoying but never mind. I kind of wish their were more co-op trophies too as I joined a game. It took ages to load. I got the trophy before playing and then lost connection so I got it for nothing :( I was hoping for a tactical team game lol

Anyway Its great and I do recommend it for sure

Finished all the levels on Mutant Blobs last night, Wipeout is next! :D

Whats mutant blobs like? There isnt a demo if I recall so I didnt want to pay for it lol. Also has anyone played A-men. The demo was ok but it didnt blow me away BUT I do realise demos arent the full thing so has anyone played the full thing?

I think the display issue might be across all units. Both mine and my friends Vitas (Both US pre-launch first week bundles) have a mark in the same space, which leads me to believe it's a component behind the display causing it. I have banding too which is apparent on gradients but I'm really not bothered; games and video content look amazing.

Anyone else a bit disappointed with Motorstorm RC? The first half is FANTASTIC but when the stupidly fast cars are bought out that are no fun to play I've just given up unlike the previous races where I'd spend hours perfecting my racing line :( Glad I didn't have to pay for it as I use a US account.

Bought it for $8. Not really worth it. It is a great game but it's too short for what you pay for.

Great little game.
Secound best game on the VITA imo.
Especially for the price point, but I love platform games on handhelds.
(MotorStorm RC, been my favourite)
Colourful, very simple game mechanics, move, jump, obsorb things, an avoid the traps, an made me laugh plenty of times. :D

I am considering:
Touch me Katamare
Wipeout
Unit13
But there all £25+ I have to question are they worth THAT much?

Wipeout is, Katamari demo is terrible (wtf?) and not tried Unit13

Question

I don't have access to Wifi where i am, only my laptop connected to the internet by Ethernet.

Can i download stuff to the PC then load it onto the PS Vita, Like DEMOS?

Windows 7? If so you can use Connectify to turn your Laptop into a Wi-Fi access point provided it is running Windows 7 and has a Wi-Fi adapter installed.

You've probably just not noticed the issues, pretty sure all Vita's have the issue to various degrees

Here's some long exposure shots that highlight it.

The effect varies greatly between devices. My 3g vita has barely visible blotches in a pitch black room with a black screen on max brightness, while one I saw in a store had visible blotches in a lit room on the uncharted loading screen.

I can't even see the marks on mine if I look at the screen directly, I have to look at it with my peripheral vision.

Got a New Game Today

I went to my local store and they had a very poor selection of games :(

Before I left i had a hope that they would have Fifa or Unit 13. I was wrong and they only had the following games.

1. Everybody's Golf (PS Vita)
2. Reality Fighters (PS Vita)
3. Wipeout 2048 (PS Vita)
4. Little Deviants (PS Vita)
5. ModNation Racers: Road Trip (PS Vita)
6. Uncharted (PS Vita)

As i already had and finished Uncharted my only other option from that list was WipeOut 2048

It's as if they have only stocked 2 titles worth having and the rest are just to fill the shelf.:mad:

Free game, hours of playing time (which you must have enjoyed if you sat there spending "hours perfecting my racing line"), but because it has some content later on that you didn't like, you're happy you didn't have to fork out £4.76.

Unbelievable.

No seriously my screen has no issues at all. I guess I must be pretty lucky BUT its not impossible for the screen to not have any blotches/streaks or whatever else.

I wish I hadnt paid for Motorstorm as I do love a free game HOWEVER the amount of fun (and frustration) Ive got out of the game has made the very small price tag worth it.

Does anyone know when these two new sets of trophies listed are released and will the download maps be paid for or free?

I also can not fathom why there are a few people complaining about the Vita's "real" games price tags. £29.99-£34.99 is a fair price point for these games we are getting. Uncharted, Wipeout, Modnation Racers and Unit 13 are up there with the qulaity of the PS3 versions/type games and for a first generation set of titles they are outstanding. Uncharted is around 8 hours with plenty of replay value which is already longer than most 39.99 release titles for the PS3/360 so they are excellent value for money. The cost that goes into a Vita game isnt going to be far off the cost of any other game on a home console when you consider the amount of work that needs to go into the game.

Take Wipeout. Its gorgeous and is easily as good as on the PS3 version. Has a full range of tracks and vehicles and has an online component where you compete with upto 7 others just like the PS3 version and additionaly you can play cross platform. The amount of time and effort that went into this game as an example will be the same amount fo time as any other game and so the price tag reflects this to which I am extremely happy to pay

At least we are paying for quality even at this early stage. The 3DS (I have and is a great system) didnt fair to well to start with and it took a fair amount fo time to start warranting any of its price tag(it happily is now though)

^ Agree with everything you say in that post ;)

To even consider the quality of this and the fact we have been blessed with a pretty decent release lineup. Once the game designers are fully familiar with the game design and PS release firmware updates i believe the PS Vita will have a long prosperous life. I also believe the longer the Vita hasn't been hacked the better, but i also hope that once the unit gets enough support there are some more customizable extras that give it a more versatile role.
