***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

I bought Tactics Ogre this morning before setting off for work. Nearly didn't manage to as my CC had expired and I was late leaving for work!
 
I'm a bit confused. I thought new sale started today and old ones would be gone. But im still seeing the "PS Vita Sale" games still at discounted prices as well as the new Final Fantasy ones etc.... Not that I'm complaining just odd :p

I think officially there is no way to play the PS1 version of FF7 on Vita, remotely or locally. There has not been a separate version released either. Some people play it by using some sort of hack.

It's the same file, you just can't play it directly on the Vita yet (should be in the summer, expected in August or September).

For the time being you can put it on your PS3 and play it via Remote Play.

Yeah, you can play any PS1 game via remote play.


The only hackery on the Vita at present is in the PSP emulator which Sony have been very quick to slam shut by removing the games with the hole in from the store, patching them and then putting them back up.

May want to give Riviera: The Promised Land a try. Its a PSP game but works fine on my Vita.
 
I got mgs hd collection today for vita, although it looks great, I can't get the hang of the controls. I just find I am either running away getting shot at or I am crawling around the floor with a stupid camera angle so I cannot see anything , then I end up crawling out of cover right at somebody's feet.I think I am going to just sell it , I am finding it more frustrating then fun
 
I was playing metal slug on my brothers Vita, it felt laggy at times as if the frame rate was dropping out when only a few more enemies appeared. The controls are also rather naff on the vita, just can't get around it and for the price it shouldn't slow down during such an old game :mad:

If it’s the version I’m thinking of then you get the exactly the same slow down you do on the original arcade version as it emulated not ported.
 
Got a few trophies in SuperStardust Delta this morning. Got the 50 multiplier on the Rock n Roll minigame, the 20x multiplier on arcade and one other.

EDIT: The other was completing a planet on Twin Gun.

Also I've just started the 3rd planet and have yet to die so have already beaten my best high score of about 22million.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with msg. I gave it a whirl last night and the controls are an absolute pain as well as the camera being a bit difficult at times too.

I've only been playing MGS3 though not tried MGS2 yet. fps seems a bit err well dodgy at times too... Still only paid 11quid for it.

Back to P3P ! lol
 
Is Monster Hunter Freedom Unite available in the UK Vita store? I don't have a PS3 but I had heard some people couldn't dl it without one in the EU, just thought I would check before I take the plunge (without a new one in site it's kind of a must).
 
Yea you can buy MH Unite from the UK vita store. I bought and downloaded it and have had no problems with it at all.
