PSN store has always been slow for me, Im also on 100m. Took about 15mins to download FF7 when I can download 1.4GB in less that normally.

Isn't this a Virgin issue? I have 100Mb and it's also slow for me. I remember reading about Virgin throttling the DL speeds on PSN.

I can never get a decent speed downloading demos on vita and ps3 , it can take a good 30mins to download 900mb demo on the vita and the updates are a nightmare always take way to long , that's why I never go on ps3

Been playing some FFVIII on my vita this evening... seems to run well and everything, except sometimes the controls go completely dead for up to a minute... usualy during dialogue or menus... running around and battles seem fine... tried Analogue controller mode and Digital... both are the same.

Anyone else had something similar? Tried FF9 for a few mins and didnt notice the issue, but didnt play for very long on that so couldnt give it a fair test.

Not quite dead, but I am sometimes pressing X on a speech box 5 or 6 times before it is recognised....

I had/have problems on my Virginmedia 100mb connection as well and did allot of Googling and trying out different configurations with the Superhub and the only thing that really works is to set all your downloads up before you go to bed and with luck they'll be done for morning!

I have also heard rumours that Virgin see PSN as P2P or similar and automatically throttle your connection. This to me makes sense as I don't suffer with downloads speeds on Xbox Live or anything else.

Yeah thats kinda what i meant... though sometimes when there is a selection to be made, up/down dont work either. Most of the time it takes more than 5 or 6 times to work for me though

I would say it is Sony end even with the throttling they only cut the speed by half on 100mb service .

Not that type of throttling ie. 50% connection speed after you download so much.

It's suggested there is an issue with VM and PSN servers, which could be they're blanket throttling the service like they do P2P traffic during peak hours.

Given that users on other non-VM connections are getting good speeds it would seem to back this up.

Also PS1 games are up on the Vita store now.

Just downloaded Wipeout PSone as I already own this on the PS3, plays nice on the Vita.

I am a little disappointed they didn't take the opportunity to be a little more competitive with pricing. After all some of us have already bought these games once and they are easily picked up at a car boots etc. for 50p to £1. On top of this as Sony seen the quality of games on the iPad lately available from free? imo they should have released PSone games at App prices because this is their new competition.

ok confused....ff7 is in store....i already own it from psp.....yet it says i cant download it on vita in my downloads tab....go figure

Re-download the game on your PS3, but do not activate it.

Make sure it stays as a bubble, then attach your Vita, and you'll be able to transfer it.
