Managed to snag a VR after cancelling my pre-order from march. It's going to be for Christmas but just wondering what controllers i need. If it's a ngtmare to get controllers I'll return and get another time...not looking to have hassle buying controllers.

get the Move controllers as they have improved every game they can be used in so far for me.

Anyone know of anywhere that will let me try the Playstation VR? I'm thinking of putting the request in from Santa but it's a lot of money for something that I might not touch again after two hours with the demos/Eve.

Think most PCworld/currys retailers have them in store. I may be getting that confused with htc vive but I'm sure I've read you can book an appointment to try it out. Bit of a faff but at least you will know.

I'll be getting myself one after Christmas now I've got a new tv to buy first and a pc monitor so its going to be an expensive start to 2017

The only stuff I've been able to find it trials during October so I've long missed those. If anyone knows any others then I would love to be able to try it.

I feel like I'll be either disappointed or get bored after a few days otherwise. £400 plus move controllers isn't cheap for something I get bored of! How many of you have gone back to playing normal games on your tv/pc for example?

I think you're worrying to much about being bored of VR and the cost and not using it.
VR is AMAZING and it's great fun but isn't there to replace normal 2D gaming.

There are loads of games/experiences that will last you a long time IF you mix it up and play the 2D games you love as well.
If you can afford one I'd say get it but knowing it's another type of gaming and totally unique...but not there to replace the games like BF,Fifa,Final Fantasy etc etc

Hopefully its not a fad like 3D has been. I'll still watch the likes of avatar and gravity in 3D on a projector but if its been rendered afterwards for 3D meh..

But speaking of VR i can see it improving vastly and something non gaming companies will want to get into. I'm sure I've read something about youtube wanting some of the action so those adverts will be awful to try and click away in VR :D

I won a PSVR from Pepsi, and it has finally arrived, I've played VR Worlds and the demo disc but has anyone got any additional suggestions of games to get that are out currently. I'd like farpoint when it is released and the aim controller.

Any ideas where to get a dual pack of move controllers as well? They're not in stock anywhere!

Congrats, move controllers are like rocking horse dodo! try cex they seem to have stock down here @ £40 and you can check online to save having to go in there ;) I randomly asked in game (i only needed one) and managed to get a second hand one for £34.99.

Games wise but in no particular order:
Eagle Flight
Rush of Blood (you've probably played the demo, but well worth buying full game)
Tethered (cool little god game)
Call of duty (free download, kinda eve valkyrie style)
Playroom (free download with several different mini games)
eve gunjack (basically galaxians in a vr world, short but it's cheap and fun :D )

Good stuff :) Not sure where you'll find the controllers but you do need them to get the most out the system.

So far I have these games (spent waaay too much!)

Must haves:
Headmaster
Rush of Blood

Glad I bought:
Rez
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (party game only)
Batman (cool tech demo)

Unsure of:
Eagle Flight (cool experience, but not sure it's worth the money)
Windlands (see Eagle Flight but also bring a sick bag!!!)
Thumper (good game but not essential VR)
Eve Gunjack
Rigs

Wouldn't have bought if doing it again:
The Brookhaven Experiment
VR Worlds

The free Playroom demo is pretty fun with friends and the Kitchen demo is a must have :)

Too bad I just bought The Brookhaven Experiment. It seems like some people are giving it a positive review. Guess I'll be testing it later this evening.

VR Worlds is maybe a tad overpriced but still a nice set of different kind of VR experiences. Farpoint is the VR game Im really interested in, allthough it might be only 5-6 hours campaign, still going to get it on day1.

What's there is decent enough - it's just extremely thread bare. More of a tech demo really. I've nothing against VR Worlds other than the price - there's just cheaper stuff I've spent longer playing and had much more fun with.

I'm dying to try out the res evil kitchen demo it looks like a brown nugget inducing experience.

I wish they would update alien isolation into VR for the playstation I've watched many a video on youtube of it on pc, i couldn't get through the non VR version cos i **** mah panties when the thing was in the vents.

I'll go at it again though over the holiday.

heh yeah. That would be good. It worked on Rift DK1, but confusingly not on the official release. Go figure. My brother was lead character artist on Alien Isolation btw - did the alien and much of the character work. His face is mapped to npcs too - chances are many of you have killed him with a spanner :)

You're really not selling it to me :D

Come on, there must be more 'must haves' than that
