PlayStation VR / VR2

Yeah really looking forward to it too. I just cant find a setting I like for turning bit I will try what you suggested.

Oopsie. Just ordered a vr, camera, 2 move controllers, EVE, Robinson, VR Worlds and Resi 7. Got a bundle of everything except Resi on ebay for £400 which I thought was pretty good. Noticed while looking that Argos have lots of stock arriving today and tomorrow if anyone is after one.

Does anyone know how much of a hit graphically Resident Evil 7 will take for VR? Apparently the demo looked horrendous in VR, but there's talk of the full game having addressed this

Demo looked great in VR so not sure who said that. I'm playing on a Pro so not sure whether it was updated for that. Whenever I've played it in VR it's been the best experience graphically I've had in virtual reality from a fidelity and graphical point of view.

Oh really? That's good to hear. A few of the articles I read said that it lacks of a lot of texture detail and sometimes it's hard to make anything out from a distance

Visually it isn't on par with the 2D version if you're talking texture detail, aliasing etc and it does look a little rough round the edges. That said - it absolutely destroys the 2D experience. No comparison. It's the difference between looking at a slightly spooky video game on a TV and actually being inside that awful, scary house! Total no brainer - VR is the way to play this.

You get over the clarity compared to 2D with the atmosphere of VR. It's the best experience I've had in a horror game ever.

I've played the demo about 10 times and every time I put the VHS tape in I'm in shock with the atmosphere being outside the house. Stunning.

Just imagine lowering the resolution on resi 7 and that's what you get in vr. It can look a little rough in places but you forget all about it when something big is chasing you. Vr is the way to play resi trust me!

Does anyone know if there any current ps4 games having vr updates of any kind?

Totally. VR is pretty much the only thing that interests me currently games these days. Everytime I put the headset on there's no doubt in my mind this is the future. When we have 4k for each eye and 100+ fps, they'll be no turning back!

When it's in motion you forget.

Only Dirt Rally so far I think. Would love an alien isolation update

Agreed. As soon as you start moving around in the game you get so immersed you forget about the lower quality and enjoy it. It really is the future of games.

There's a slight chance we are getting a vr update for alien isolation but not sure if it will be on the ps4. Pc users can access the vr option as the game was originally used as a vr demo on the rift I believe at e3 but it's not perfect.

There is an alien covenant "experience" coming I know that much so there is hope.

I really would like Adrift to get its vr update. Developers have said if there's enough demand it will happen. I wish we were getting all the steam vr games. There's so much on there to choose from especially horror games. Between £5 and £10 for games like that would be great for us psvr owners.

I was worried about sickness, and it is a risk, but you can build a resistance over time if needs be.
Whatever you do, DON'T try to power through though, as that can increase your sensitivity.
I've also found the PS4Pro helps too, the increased framerates seem to reduce the motion sickness effect a little.

Motion sickness is good sometimes as it means vr is doing its job. Making you believe you are on a roller coaster or driving very fast etc so don't let it put you off.

Playing rush of blood gives me that stomach churning feeling as it would on a real rollercoaster minus the wind and throwing me side to side. Vr luge makes me feel scared like I am really bombing down the road at high speed. I love it :)

Only odd feeling for me is like I've said above where I'm turning in resi 7 with right stick but I'm not physically turning. Makes me feel very strange.

So tried the Demo in shop,,a bit underwhelmed if I'm honest, picture looked blurry , jaggy, even though all attempts to put this right.
RESI EVIL was by far the best, I guess ill hold off for a while

I thought I would have grabbed one by now and have had plenty chances, but think I'm getting a bit sensible with my money these days as I also haven't been tempted by the Pro.

I know I would enjoy it but think I am going to hold off until I can get a headset and camera bundle for less than £300 might be waiting a while.
