PlayStation VR / VR2

i got it and a set of move controllers, only had a blast of the playstation home games at the moment but im liking it so far, i also picked myself up resi, homefront ( i will get the aim controller before i try) and rigs

There is a resi demo worth trying (kitchen I think it’s called). It will give you an idea what your getting into lol and it’s great to show to friends and family as they just have to sit there while you record them for scares haha.

Farpoint is so cool with the gun. Feels like I’m in starship troopers. Shame we haven’t got an aliens game yet that uses the gun.

3D movies are also quite cool to watch.

i just ordered this and some shorter cables, i'll let you know if it worked when it's delivered

it doesn't seem too difficult to set up, just need 2 hdmi ports on the tv or just 1 hdmi port if you get 2 switches

1 switch using 2 tv hdmi ports

2 switches using 1 tv hdmi port

and when you want to switch between hdr and psvr, shut down the ps4 and press the button/s on the switch/es and turn ps4 back on again

i read the total cable length must be under 5m, the shorter the better.

i just hope it works, it's been annoying swapping cables about

Looks a bit complex and expensive. Why not use a HDMI to HDMI connector instead ?. You simply pull both cables out of the back of the PSVR box and connect them together to bypass PSVR. Cost me a couple of quid.

I honestly don’t know if you can buy the aim control on its own as I had mine with farpoint.

I think it will be worth getting it with bravo team as it looks like it will be a good game for vr, hopefully!

Remember if you feel sick in resi especially when turning left or right go into settings and find what works best for you. I personnaly can’t take smooth turning it makes me feel really odd so I use the segment turning.

Hope you enjoy :)

Ive looked for it with farpoint and cant find it in stock either, i will have to wait for Bravo Team to release, i might pre order today.

ok thanks for the tip with Resi, i did feel a bit sick with the car chase in London Heist, im hoping i will adjust and get used to it.

Well the PSVR seems to be selling quite well with the new offer, hopefully that means they'll sell out and the new ones will be available soon.....

you're still pulling cables out from the back, this way you don't have to touch the cables, just quickly press 1 button, cost under £20 including extra cable for the first set up

i decided to not use the csl switch that was posted as it won't work, i got one shipping from china instead

Shame we couldn’t get the original Goldeneye for psvr. Would be pretty cool to play it as it was back in the day.

Also a decent Diehard game in the Nakatomi plaza would be wicked.

Really excited for Doom VFR, don't know which control scheme will work best though? Hopefully we get some reviews this week, I know the street date has been broken all over the place. I'm waiting for digital, imo you really need the convenience for VR.

Also, for anyone who hasn't done it yet check this out -

I used the normal setup and got 63mm, I thought the picture quality was great so never touched it. Anyway I actually measured this weekend and got 65mm, followed this guide and WOW it's a huge improvement. Perfectly crisp and more pronounced 3D effect now :). Worth a try!

Shamelessly stolen from Reddit:

Precision is unnecessary. IPD on PSVR has nothing to do with clarity, sharpness, etc. The lenses are fixed in position, fixed focus, there are no mechanical adjustments (other than sliding it around your head or closer/farther viewscreen). There are no mechanical width adjustments that are going to line-up anything with your pupils.

Changing IPD on PSVR is a software-only thing that affects the apparent 3D scale of things you're looking at. If it were REALLY mis-set, I guess that could make Driveclub look like a matchbox racer (tiny), or like you're an ant (huge cars), but the sharpness wouldn't change.

It might affect eyestrain, since if the 3D scales up/down, it does somewhat change where/how your eyes have to focus.

Yep I think it will.

Stock of the v1 seems to be running down now (or back to £350!). Hoping the v2 is released before Xmas as I need something for my wife to buy me :D
