PlayStation VR / VR2

Whats the difference between V1 & V2?

Most important bit is the HDR support (passthrough). Also the cable is half the thickness and doesn't have the junction box on it so makes it lighter. Also the headphone socket is moved to the headset together with controls. The Processing unit is also redesigned.

Now all I need to do is find one! :(

For me it's not enough of an upgrade to buy another one.

Yeah I guess there's not performance increase as such but for me I really need the HDR passthrough, I can work around it with splitters etc but by the time I've purchased all that I'd be better off getting the new version. Mine is actually boxed up ready to trade in/sell but if I can't find a v2 I will be inboxing it again as I miss it lol

Out of interest does the new pass through box work with the older headset?

Might be enough for some users to order a new Box if it works.

Don't see any reason why not, the same connections exist on both units. Might be worth calling Sony, you never know you might get one FOC.

Finally found and ordered a PSVR V2, should be with me tomorrow hopefully so a VR weekend coming up, I've a lot to catch up

Ok, next question; are the newer move controllers any different to the ps3 ones?

They are identical apart from the connection at the bottom. PS3 ones are mini and new one have micro usb I believe. I’m using my old ps3 ones and they work perfectly fine.
