Hi guys, i was just gaming now and my gpu blew up! Its working now but Im at a loss! Anyone know of this? I was gaming on neather, Whole pc shut off, come back on and a big pop and puff of smoke come out the back of the gpu. Smelt really bad too! All seems ok now, i've never overclocked this gpu and its about 6months old. Bought it from ocuk like i do EVERYTHING its a gtx770 titan cooled.

I know what there gonna say come RMA too, there gonna not refund it. I bought the gpu then bought this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-197-XS and followed it to the letter and it was not the right fit. But in doing so had to remove the 'void if removed sticker' i did phone up and play holy war coz its what the instructions said to do yet it was wrong. At the time of doing this the guy on the end of the phone pretty much said tough ****

2nd post in as many days in this section where OCUK have said its fine to change and then when it goes wrong tough luck as they aint interested. I can't fault the CS I've had off them but surely they should clearly state what cards, if any allow the fitting of an aftermarket cooler or waterblock to avoid these kinda scenarios

Nah i took out the screws months back very carefully, and nothing sperated at all. Uponr realiseing the backplate was wrong put it back together and ordered one from coldzero, and it was perfect, only had to take 6 of the edge screws out for that. I RMA'd it this morning and mentioned the problem again with the xspc backplate and yet again got a its your fault answer. To be fair if your stocking somthing then your to be held account for it otherwise dont stock said items or at least test things out before hand. The guy was hopefull id get a new one but im not tbh, i know how big companys work. FYI the only gpu company he said that allows you to take apart the gpu is EVGA :) If i have to fork out another 380quid for a gpu then i will be selling the parts off from my pc as i dont have it and wont be useing overclockers again. Its not the first trouble i have had. I also recived two faulty motherboards in a row too lol. Its not all bad tho 80% of them and there service has been spot on, i guess im just unlucky lol. I'll let you guys know the outcome when i know.

Dear jason lant ,

The product GX-015-IN on RMA259135 has been returned to you. It has been rejected for the following reason.

"Warranty void seal damaged on screw, loose screw on cooler"

So coz ocuk sold me the wrong part with the WRONG INSTRUCTIONS im now down 380quid! Sod this like!!! Will no longer be using OR reccommending ocuk to anyone!
