It's a well done sci-fi cliché trope, but where is it going?
Ep1 was decent a bit of a rushed setup but fine.
Ep2 just felt like preachy white American guilt from a lesbian angle to not eye roll too much.

They have the ability for this to be as absolutely fun/bonkers as the writers could dare be ....

I'm enjoying it, interesting concept, I hope they answer some of the questions my mind has about how all the joined work.

The politician suit quip got a big lol

Enjoyed both episodes and I expect the rest will be decent, bcs is one of my favourite shows, so I have a lot of hope

I think I read it was renewed for s2 before it even aired

Watched last night and loved it!
same here - I thought it was going to be lame as their picture of the series looks lame (some woman with hair back making a face) ... but the show turned out quite good. Cant wait for the 3rd episode - dont want to discuss as dont want to reveal spoilers but its cool.

Watched the first two episodes tonight. I loved BB and BCS, so this was automatically on my watchlist straight away despite not really having any idea of the general plot... didn't watch any trailers or pay attention much to teasers.

Wasn't what I expected at all, but I was hooked immediately. Typical Gilligan storytelling, darkly humorous and fab acting from Rhea Seehorn. Feels like it could be a Black Mirror storyline, cannot wait to see where it goes... haven't had that enthusiasm for a series since Severance.

Strong first episode 9/10.
Given they just had to establish a mystery and little else. I can't be the only sucker for the early "let's just have a mysterious event and explain it later" set up in scifi shows like this. It almost never fails.

Second episode was ok, probably would give that 7/10.
Since they had to do some exposition and explaining, and set up some conflict and moral ambiguity for the future. The whole meet up with the unaffected was a bit bitty, but I guess that would be quite realistic when you are just throwing a random bunch of people together and see how the react, and not just have the main character take over, and thus sow doubt in where it can go. If that was the intention then it worked. Am still very intrigued.

I don't mind a bit or dark humour in shows like this, but I hope it doesn't lean on that too much as it goes.

Do we think bacteria are exempt from the Joined "Can't deliberately kill anything rule", since when wossname pirate lady had a shower at the airport she will have killed a few billion of them there and then. Or are we not meant to analyse it quite that much? Probably not meant to analyse it quite that much.

Yeah, overall I enjoyed it and will see how it unfolds, potentially a great story and refreshing (in most ways).

I don't know if being a dark comedy is going to ultimately undo it to a certain extent, but it may be what is needed to cover over the obvious cracks in the plausibility of the story..

The meeting with the unaffected unravelled things a bit, the story to that point was decent, but the 'others' are just meme levels of caricatures of people that feel so unbelievable that I get this over arching feeling that the 'comedy' aspect is a vein attempt to paper over cracks.

Lets see, there where overtones of this being Breaking Bad meets Mork and Mindy, but time will tell..

8/10 so far!

Excellant first 2 episodes. As usual most of the crying i've seen have come from the tiktok generation. Missing details within the show because they were looking at their phone or got bored because the pace wasn't 1000mph.

seems like someone watched
and switched out AI for hive mind.
Mrs davis was at least fun and got high ratings... this is kinda average so far.
Good shout,

I hadn't heard of this, so will add this to the backlog of series to watch!

Above average. A bit too comedic in places. I'm already expecting the actual science to take a back seat to emotional melodrama. However, no idea where it's going (didn't watch the trailer).

I need to rewatch it but according to the timestamps I'm sure they managed to gather the 5 other immune English speakers very quickly.

The main character is really punchable. Like the wife in BB.

When they all woke up and said they just wanted to help it made me thing of Rick and Morty - Unity episode.

Enjoyed it, will be interesting to see how this goes. Loved BB and BCS.

Preferred the 2nd episode over the first but overall really good. Loved Gilligan’s previous work, though not right away. Took me a couple of goes to get into both shows but the pay off was enormous.

This is gonna be great.
