Pointless conversation starters.

We've all heard them, attention seeking pointless conversation starters said by people.

For example:

A group of friends are sitting discussing a topic, one girl pipes up with; "arghh I can't believe my ex did it behind my back... but please.. I don't wanna talk about it."

Why say it then? If you don't want to talk about it, WHY BRING IT UP!?

Also, recieved a text earlier:

"work has screwed me over, will explain later."

What's the point? Just tell me about it later, why send the text informing me of information that you obviously don't want to discuss yet. It makes no sense.

I'm in a funny mood today granted, but does this kind of behaviour annoy anybody else? Or is it just me?

Utterly pointless.
 
some people just feel the need to get this crap off their chests... the numpty ends up being the one who acts as the shoulder to cry on.. just redirect the conversation to something more pleasant like pigeon racing or whatever

Yeah, its sort of warning you that later on you will be subjected to listening to your mate ranting on for a bit about how crap his job is, and that you are expected to bring a few beers home.
 
Oh what I really hate, I GET SO ANNOYED when I see my mate for the first time in a while and he's like "omg you won't guess what has happened to me these last few days... oh no wait sorry I don't think I can tell you" :mad: :mad: !!!!!

He does it ALL the time.

Another time is when he has a bit of juicy gossip and he's like "Holy crap did you hear about.... ooohhh no wait I was told not to say anything to anyone" :rolleyes:

I have a battle with him for the rest of the night trying to get it out of him.
 
I hate it when you reply to sombody in a text thats asked you a question, and they just reply saying " k "

that really annoys me lol!

Heh.. having a DMC with a mate on holiday and we're talking about friends etc and then he starts talking and then goes "Oh wait, can't talk about that."

WTF! Tell me! What's the point of opening your gob if you're not going to tell me! I hate it when that happens! Usually it's the girls! :p
