Pointless conversation starters.

Some people just feel the need to talk, they can't just be comfortable in their own mind. They feel compelled to talk random nonsense just so that they don't have to experience that awkward silence where their own mind is screaming at them how socially inept and and boring they really are.

Okay for trying to be understanding you're banned from this thread :p

This gets to me too.

I HATE it when women say "I've got something I need to tell you." Tehn REFUSE to tell you for ages. I mean, wtf?

the phase i hate the most is " you know" once i was in a shop the guy started to talk then came out with "you know" i said no i dont, a lot of people keep getting annoyed at me because everytime they say "you know" i say i dont thats why iam asking.

We've all heard them, attention seeking pointless conversation starters said by people.

For example:
I'm in a funny mood today granted, but does this kind of behaviour annoy anybody else? Or is it just me?

Yeah me too, but I dont want to talk about it now :D

First one annoys me yep.. it's usually said because the person DOES wanna discuss it but they want the attention of you hassling them for information..

thats why he does it, for attention, sad imo
Yeah I thought it was that too, but there are certain things that slips when he really didn't mean to let it slip and when he finally tells me it really isn't something I wanted to know, or should have known.

He just has a really lazy mouth and doesn't know about it. I do know what you mean though.

Thats not necessarily true, i sometimes do something of the sort. Its when I want to talk to the person about something (like a relationship with someone else) and dont feel really comfortable willingly giving the information up and so want someone to press me for the info and let me talk about it. Its not due to wanting attention just that im quite shy about things.

Me sar is really wierd! :p
