Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know if the preorder carry case that Game are giving away will also fit the 3ds XL? Its only listed as DS / DSi compatible.

I also found out that the yellow pikachu version of the 3ds XL is being released in Europe with this game, makes me annoyed that I only just got a red one a week ago and already had to send it back for a screen repair :(

No idea about the first bit, but would you really want a Pikachu DS? Be a bit embarrassing. :D

Then again I have a pink DS but meh, I'm a bell end.

Yes I would :D I don't take it anywhere though, I just bought it to be able to play some of the games I'm missing out on the PC. The resale value of those limited edition Nintendo consoles is also a lot higher, but it would probably cost a lot more in the first place. If anyone asks why an almost 30 year old would be carrying around a pikachu 3ds, Id simply tell them ... Resale value when I no longer need it.

Mods ninja editing my posts. ;)

Watch out though, people might think you have the Pikachu DS to lure children. In all seriousness I wouldn't be surprised if a 30 year old man with a Pikachu DS with all the recent media coverage of predators got lynched. :p

Lol .... One would never look at it that way :(

Grown ups cant be geeks anymore :(

I'll be keeping my red one anyway, hopefully the pre order case will fit the 3ds XL.

Won't fit. XL will only fit in a DSI XL case or a case designed for the 3DS XL.

Pikachu 3ds looks like it has nipples.

Ok, I just pre ordered the black version. I looked up the differences and prefer the black menus in the game, plus the hard mode key were more appealing than white menus and easy mode key (though the hard and easy mode keys can be used on both versions, they can only be obtained per their respective game).

Never knew about that . Guess I'm getting Black as well then! Might just rush through the game and then play seriously on the hard mode.

Yea I just found this link:

http://www.serebii.net/black2white2/versionmisc.shtml

Black version gets black borders around menus and battle bars, white version gets white menus.

Black version gets challenge mode key, white version easy mode key after defeating the champion.

I still have OOT, Shinobi and Kid Icarus to play. Pokemon will be the last game I buy for now, I'll wait until I finish those off before buying NSMB2.

I sent my 3DS XL back for repair on thurday on parcelforce 48, and it didnt get delivered today, so it wont be returned till monday, then they have to fix the screen and send it back before I can carry on playing.

Jest remember that you can still use the challenge mode key on the white version, and easy mode on the black version, You'll just need to wait until other people complete the game and put the keys up on the internet, unless they are unique per game which would suck.

Ah, thanks :).

Notice you get Registeel in Black too which is awesome as opposed to Regice in White. I wish they'd include sidequests to obtain all legendaries up to this point without either having to wait for downloadable passes or even worse just getting the Pokemon given to you as they're usually to most fun part of the game for me.

Hard mode reminds me of Firered Omega and ShinyGold. :p

Blaze Black is a helluva lot of fun. A teeny bit unfair though if I do say so myself:

haha nice :p

Has anyone here been out to get that Keldo pokemon they are giving away shops ? I want to get one for white 2. But there is only one shop in belgium that does it and not sure if I want to make the trek out just to get one pokemon :p

If anyone has a spare or where planning to go out and get it. I would be most most grateful if you could get one for me :D will trade cookies !

That Keldo looks bloody horrible. :p Cant you just order a copy of White 2 from the shop online and ask for the event to be shipped with it or something? Otherwise good luck. :p

I seriously recommend to anyone who likes these games to look out for ShinyGold, BlazeBlack/VoltWhite, Liquid Crystal, PerfectSilver/PerfectHeart, Fire Red OMEGA & Light Platinum. They all have every Pokémon self contained in one ROM (including legendaries) and all trade Pokémon evolve normally. It's legal, if you have a ROM reader and a corresponding physical ROM you can patch the mods onto the base games, but you'll loose the base game in the process, but they are very cheap nowadays.

Also, you can grab DS capture software cheap these days too.
