Pokemon White/Black

Because this way the Pokemon are not considered hacked as no external device was used to actually warp the in game algorithm. You are just manipulating the odds as opposed to simply fixing them unnaturalally.

Can you do this from a normal save or does it depend when you start your new save??

Edit just started watching the video and getting the idea of whats going on :)

Hi guys,
Just to ask, I've now beaten the league and the ...err...champion and got the game over/national pokedex. I'm wandering round the map now getting to the places I couldn't get to before like White Forest, but was wondering if that is pretty much it?

I know in some of the older versions you could visit another region, but Im not seeing signs of that in this one; I've enjoyed it, but given the smaller routes and such, this is feeling a smaller game so far (bar the number of pokemon, I was never a 150/150 etc completionist) than nostalgia tells me the early games were (I didnt play Gen 3/4).

Thought I'd ask as you're not really given much of a goal once your friends dissapear outside your house :D bar beating the pokemon league again which I will likely do once more to see if they're high level and I fight ***** this time.

I've seen that, but seems a little threadbare tbh, good for younger players, but for older players, it doesnt really hold attention much :)

A shame you can't physically go to the old continents, or don't seem to be able to, as this would make the game much larger, it did in the old ones. Would be cool if the true 3DS update, was along the lines of Pokemon World and actually gave you a new 'state' but revamped the old ones (along with slightly spanglier graphics, sound etc to take advantage of the 3DS) and perhaps reintroduced old champions/player characters, and team XXX's.

I mean Pokemon is dying for an MMO-style game, its not like the world isn't large enough now with multiple continents, and it's slowly been moving more and more online over the last few generations as I understand (what with us now having the GITS/Entralink etc).

Would be rather cool if the 3DS revamp could be just that :)

That's my biggest bug-bear with Pokemon series. I'm playing Soul Silver at the moment and it is better in that regard - more to do and you get some classic moments with the original region. Still not really long enough as there isn't much of a story line once you reach the second zone.

It also annoys me with all the trading back 5 generations. I understand they want trading but where do you draw the line? To complete it all you need about 8 copies or more of the game and multiple DS/DS lite etc. It's getting silly

Hm i dont know - you can catch 96% of all pokemon just by owning SS/HG and either Black or White...

In the good news, today i bred a near flawless Timid Charmader with Dragon Pulse egg move, also a Shiny Hydreigon 31/31/30/31/31/31:) with Dark Pulse and Dragon Pulse egg moves.

Basically you have to have a DS Phat or a DS lite to be able to do it the way that i do it.

You need the tool: RNGReporter 9 Publicbeta_6
You need to get your DSPhat/Lite Mac address.

Then go here and watch this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4zNQH9cC3w&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

thats the basics of it. Breeding is a very similar process - its all about finding the right 'seed' which gives you a specific date/time to load the game, and the advancing the pid frames in the game once loaded via Chatots for instance to hit the right things.

Watched it and was just a little confused, basically the rng finder software just tells you how many steps it would take to find an ideal pokemon? From what I understood there was encounter slots which is the time you'd find that ideal pokemon and that's what it finds for you?

Anyway I'm not sure I'll use the method much as I'd feel a little guilty having a full team of perfect IV pokemon but I might use it just for fun with any pokemon I really like, such as Escavalier and that grass fighting legendary (I'd only use that one if it had good stats so that is also partly the reason). Can you explain why he says you'd want a chatot though? Also would this work on soul silver and pokemon platinum?

Hi, if you need me to run you through i can do it on msn or something so you can catch one. Once you've done it a couple of times it becomes very easy to re do.

The RNG finder can help you find the pefect pokemon but theres 3 things to look out for:

Seed RNG - basically by loading the game up at a certain time/date you can advance to an IV Frame that gives you 'perfect' or your chosen IVs.

IV Frame - by advancing 128 steps with a member in your party this advances by 1. I ALWAYS (capturing wild pokemon) set this to search for min/max Frame 1, so when i load by hitting my seed time (abvove) i never have to move i just 'sweet scent' on the spot and catch.

Nature/Encounter slot RNG - by using the chatots in game (record a sound via chatter) and then go to pokemon summary and listen to the chatter advances by 1 frame here. Each location has maybe 4-5 different pokemon you can catch. This is the encounter slot. When i started i did this all by chance just by starting a fight, catching it, if it wasnt the pokemon i wanted, do an extra chatot chatter before i started the sweet scent.

Anyway I'm not sure I'll use the method much as I'd feel a little guilty having a full team of perfect IV pokemon but I might use it just for fun with any pokemon I really like,

For online battle, you want perfect IV's. In game, having perfect IVs doesnt make a huge difference but it can be significant. For example, say you have a pokemon whos attack gets to 200 when he is lvl 100. If your Attack IV is only 15 out of 31 it means that his attack stat will only get to 184...so do nearly 20% less damage.

I can now sucessfully IV/Nature Breed Shiny pokemon with the IV splits usually working out:

31/31/30/31/31/31 so near perfect.

I now have shiny;

Scraggy with Dragon Dance, Drain Punch, Ice Punch
Salamence with DD, Fire Fang
Hydreigon with Dark Pulse
Charizard with Flamethrower, Dragon Pulse
Haxorus with Night Slash

with pretty much the above stats with 5x 31's.

I only watched the first part so far so not seen how you get shinies from it just yet but it seems like it'll be easier than doing 40 hours and soft resetting and seeing if Victini is shiny (which I'm doing so far :p) but it seems like a good method. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it so thanks for showing it.

It is a good method, now i can go and breed a semi flawless shiny in roughly an hour or so. And that includes prep time. I get the nature, IVs and shiny or not that i want. Once you have done it once and have your settings saved it makes it even easier. Once you can RNG breed then taking it to the shiny level os the next step. But unless you can do the stuff before its not worth visiting that yet.

For example, im just about to go breed another shiny flawless Scraggy but with: Drain Punch, Dragon Dance, Fake Out, Ice Punch (all egg moves from a smeargle). I know with the settings that i use that if i pump out 2 eggs i will get the one i want. (i do 2 because there is still some variability, if i miss my timings or miscount chatots then i have a back up). The biggest time consumer is getting the smeargle with the right moves to breed on as it has to pass all 4 moves across.

Edit yep, took me 10 mins to just breed a new shiny scraggy, the first egg failed (must have miscounted chatots or missed my seed) and came out impish but the 2nd egg, jolly, shiny, happy:)

Can I resurrect this thread? I'm assuming people are still playing Pokemon?

I normally only play pokemon while on holiday as if I am at home I will just play games on PC/Xbox but I just got back from spain and have been playing Pokemon black. I got to the 5th badge but I didn't like the pokemon I had chosen so restarted yesterday and now have Sawk, Dewott and Darumaka all at level 26 and in the desert route having just beaten the 3rd gym.

Anyone still playing?
