Poles

actually in hindsight I realise what an incredibly dumb and racist thing to say - this had nothing to do with them being Polish, just to do with their own individual characters.

Just makes me so mad

Jesus don't apologise. It is a much worse crime if commited by a member of a foreign race in my opinion. English scum are our problem wether we like it or not, foreign scum should never have been allowed into our country so as to be our problem.

I would always be that more upset if something harmful was done to me or mine by a minority or a guest of my country.

If they have no criminal record, we can't tell if they're scum. It's not as if they have it tattooed across their foreheads now is it. How can we prevent apparently law abiding EU citizens(on paper at least) entry???

That is a good question but still regardless of the answer the taste in your mouth after an event such as the op's is always gonna be that bit more bitter. Which it should as far as I am concerned.

As to making sure we don't deal with other countrys undesirables then a complete overhaul of our countrys immigration polocies is the only answer. We should ensure that we only allow entry to highly skilled proffessionals that can fill a job shortage that our people can't. That would only include any jobs that our unemployed could not do with a little push(we sort out our own first). In my opinion a qualified dentist or doctor would not behave in the same fashion as the people in the op.

To be honest I don't hold much respect for the Polish I know when it comes to driving. At my place of work several are/have been driving on forged licences since they arrived in this country. Four of five of them have been driving after being banned for drink driving/not having a licence and in general there driving skills appear rather poor.

Also another workmate of mines informed me the other day that the majority of the cars in the car park with polish plates have out of date tax discs.

I have heard similar things too. They don't seem to have respect for this country or the other people they will be sharing the road with, and treat it all as a bit of a joke.

Look no body saw them throw anything. their behaviour was no worse than many English kids in this country.

Why is it all foreigners must be assumed guilty from the start?

There is a special onus on foreigners to behave and treat us with respect because they are guests here. If you are a guest in someone's home you should be respectful - or sod off back where you came from :)

Agreed.

as far as i can see, the op is just upset with "these poles", which to me means the ones who damaged his vehicle?

Why is it the moment a group of people is mentioned the PC brigade arrive sirens wailing?? Take the post in context people.
"polish plates (surprise surprise)"

That's all the context I need. Blatant rant at the Polish, not just the people who damaged his/her car.

Later confirmed in another reply - "who said anything about sending them back? Just taught a lesson in humility to be thankful to have an opportunity to come to a place like this to work and live and not harass the people that already live here and work hard to make sure this country stays a good place to live."

what a completely moronic and pretty much racist post. You're trying to say that there's no way a British person could have done the same? Or any other nationality?

So what if they were Polish? It's just one of those things.

Let's face it, this country is full of scummy chavish louts...and by my reckoning, the vast majority of them are 100% British any way.

I feel sorry for you, in so far that your car got damaged - but to turn around and say that 'these poles needs to get taught a lesson' is just out of order.

The vast majority of the Polish over here are good people. Just like the vast majority of English. Or the vast majority of Irish. Or Indian. See what i'm getting at? There will always be a minority - from every country or culture, who are, for want of a better word, idiots. (and posting threads like this puts you in the general direction of that category....)

The fact that the people who damaged your car were (probably - it's circumstantial 'evidence' that they happened to be driving a polish car) Polish, does not warrant a thread or feeling that all the polish people should be taught a lesson.

We live in a multi-cultural society and the sooner people started accepting it and trying to get on with things, the better.

Last I checked Polish people are not a race.

Semantics.

Not really, its pointing out how totally wrong the statement is.

As has already been pointed out in this thread, the fact that they were (circumstantially) Polish is significant.
