We buy any car will pay 3k over what I paid for My Macan so I guess i can sell it privately for 4 or 5 k over and the i8 has gone up quite a bit (still a huge hit).

The polestar 2 seems quite interesting, £50k will get you the fast one with the plus pack (has most the important toys) which seems like a lot of car for the Money.

I’m doing 1.5k miles per month so it will save me a decent amount on fuel as I only pay £8 per month for ultimate charging.

Also considering the Tesla but the Polestar seems to be nicer car.

I’ve had a P2 since last October.
It’s a decent enough EV, not as efficient as a Tesla M3 but improves on looks and interior.

How long are your journeys?
You’ll find it easier recharging with a home charger.

I think selling it for £4-5k more than WBAC is optimistic. WBAC were beating the private market when I was looking to sell my M2 recently.

I have seen quite a few Polestar's around here lately and I have to admit they do look good. One thing I was curious about is do they have their own dealerships or are they in with another major brand? Can't say that I have seen anywhere selling them here which is strange for the number of them around now.

Volvo take care of all of that and it's damn efficent.

I love mine!

I like the P2, and also the company behind it. The car itself is fantastic, and a step up over the Tesla.

The only thing.....the tesla does have the edge on technology. It's bleeding edge stuff, but not all of it works well in the UK....some of it is even borderline rubbish.

If you are a gadget man and like the toys, the tesla is hard to beat. If you want the better all-rounder, P2 it is.

So I had a look at it today. I’m really put off by the lack of leather and £5k option for adding leather is just too much (12% of base car value). It’s a nice car but I’m not sold yet. I may still test drive both the TM3 and P2 but maybe I should just hold tight until the electric macan comes out or even just sod it and get the new macan as I love my one.

I’m also debating between a TM3 or Polestar 2. I’ve never really cared for leather, but the Tesla’s supercharging network is just too convenient.

I’ve had a look at both and will say the P*2 has a much better build quality than the Tesla. Interior also seems much nicer imo. Dare I say it, I actually prefer the boxy looks too.

Do you miss the performance of the tesla as the polestar is (relativly:D) pedestrian.

Hmmmm.

I imagine the Polestar has a more consistent performance rather than the Model S with its warming up routine etc and derate concerns. Certainly was my take out between a P100D and my IPACE - always a touch of not knowing quite what you were going to get.

a question I'd have : how does the traction control electronics compare - especially with some damp bends.

hadn't realised that - they were opening new test drive centres in MK, which I now find incongruous.
Do the test drive, if you want to see mine - let me know

Regarding traction control, I can only get mine to kick in on gravel, flooring it. It's a 2.1t AWD with fat tyres :p

so you don't, too easily, get rear wheels to break traction leaving a wet roundabout say, as I(one) can in a rwd 3 series.
with 2x the torque, in an unconstrained ev, got to be interesting how your pedal push gets translated into acceleration.

EV doesn't have the grip-slip at the tyre blocks to corrupt the road interaction that a combustion car has from the many repeated torque inputs, so the traction is literally quite incredible, plus much faster control of the torque increase and decrease coupled with driveline lower inertia.

No absolutely not. It's quite an animal :D

saw a polester 2 today

i couldnt mistake it for anything else as the lights on the back where on, they have that long red line on them lol looks quite cool

I'm test driving one on the 2nd and then they said I could test out the 1 as well if I go to Zurich for it. Will see what it's like

As much as I think the polestar 1 is a great car, for the £137k it costs you could buy the vastly superior Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo with £20k of extras on it or the Turbo S. Unless you really want a hybrid?
