Terrible accident, everyone should stick to the limit in 30/40/50 zones at least and be sensible and judge NSL roads.

Video they showed there said "this driver was speeding and didn't spot the car pulling out in front of him". No mention that he was being chased by police, ffs.

It 's a joke of a show, but what a poor wee girl. Your heart goes out to her. She will have no life because of what happened. A better message from the show would have been to show that being over the limit isn't dangerous in itself, but inappropriate speeding is - and that the faster you go the less quickly you can react and mistakes by others, and yourself, can have horrific consequences for you and others.

Just what I was thinking. From the clips they've shown, it has be more about drivers being inconsiderate of road conditions around them or driving without care. Guy speeding in the snow, guy speeding on a bend, in the rain, residential areas etc...........

Just remembered as well, are classifying that american who crushed in to a truck whilst running away from cops in the same class as speeding drivers?
 
It reminds me of what the policeman said to me when I was caught speeding (cautioned for 44 in a 30). "If you'd been doing that over the limit again you'd loose your license."

"Erm, well possibly, but that only makes 58, and 60 here is a lot different to 45, it really would be a stupid speed, and the car could never have reached that speed here."

What I actually said was nothing.
 
if that dippy fool didnt pull out in front of the speeding car, the child would still be ok. however 70 in 30 is stupid and not justifiable at all.
innapropriate speeding with no common sense is the problem. hell sometimes even the speed limit is too much for an idiot.

anyway whats the point in keeping that vegetable child alive, nice life :/ if that was me id be praying for a powercut
 
Wasnt there a recent independant study that found something like only 9% of accidents are caused by 'excessive speed'?

It doesnt matter if your doing 30 mph or 70 mph, if you get distracted/are driving like a tit/have a mechanical failure/hit some ice/water/obstruction (because you werent paying attention) your going to have an accident.

Strangely, good drivers have the ability to use an amazing device called a brake to /slow down/ for junctions/corners/road conditions. I wanted to throw something at the screen while I was watching that in the pub
 
im all for nailing people txting and with phones to their ear but looolol at them giving 3points to a guy who was on speakerfone. pathetic pig +1 to add to weekly ticketing targets.
now cameras recording people doing makeup e.t.c and they get no ticket ??

They probably only volunteer for the show if they know they won't get charged. There must be some kind of agreement in place.
