Polishing exhaust

Amazingly I was reccomended to use Mr Muscle Oven cleaner and my exhaust tips came up a treat. Just spray it on leave it for 20 minutes or so and it worked great. :p

Someone on another forum I visit used this to de-coke an engine :p

Sure thing Andy, catch me on MSN and im sure we will have time to give it a polishing at the weekend.

/and before anyone starts, DON'T turn that into innuendo! :p
andy is getting 3.5 inches so your going to pay him a visit and give it a good polish?

Definitely sounds like it has a hole in it, that exhaust.

I'm pretty certain you could clean the backbox up though, no problem.

Have you done any prep work like wd40 or penetrating grease on the exhaust mountings to loosen them up a bit?

lol Andy, yep it definitely has a hole in it somewhere.

Nope, not done any prep work yet. Haven't had the time, and can't be bothered to jack the car up when I come home after work.

Depending what happens tomorrow, I'll jack it up and spray some WD40 on the bolts. I have some spare bolts on the new cat, so if the old ones shear off, that's not a problem.

I just hope they don't snap off like they did on the suspension... man, that sucked! 6 hours drilling out each bolt :o
