Poll: How do you butter your toast?

1) Apply the butter/margarine immediately so that it melts into the toast.
2) Allow the toast to cool down for a couple of minutes then apply butter/margarine. (toast is more crunchy and butter doesn't melt - a more buttery taste)
3) Apply butter/margarine onto bread and place into toaster. (similar to fried bread)
4) Don't apply butter/margarine. (Has it RAW!)
5) Other.

Edit - If you could please choose a number and your Region with any explanation (if needed).

I'm trying to investigate if the way we butter our toast varies across the mainland.

I'm from Manchester and prefer 1). However, my cousins from London prefer 2)

Margerine... yuck.

Hot toast, place one large slice of cold, salted butter on it. As you eat, you get the delightful mixture of sensations; crunch, melted butter, cold butter.
