Poll: How do you butter your toast?

1), but im quite poor with buttering, because the butter is always in the fridge and doesn't melt quickly, so it usually ends up as 2) because i take so long.

Lovingly, with copious amounts of butter.

1) Apply the butter/margarine immediately so that it melts into the toast.

Seriously, If i dont apply the butter within 20 seconds of the toast popping, i dont want them - someone else can have them - i hate cold toast.

2) Allow the toast to cool down for a couple of minutes then apply butter. (toast is more crunchy and butter doesn't melt - a more buttery taste)

Either of these methods, depending on how I feel.

Take the butter out of the fridge as you put toast in toaster, then method 1.

Result is hot toast with mostly melted butter and little bits of unmelted butter.

1 and lots of butter.

I did try 3 as a young lad once - the toaster then proceeded to explode and go all on fire. Don't try it.

3) Apply butter/margarine onto bread and place into toaster. (similar to fried bread)
4) Don't apply butter/margarine. (Has it RAW!)
5) Other.

Interesting. Number 2 for me (ooer); I hate it when the butter melts into the toast.
