Poll: Poll Please... Corsa vs Fiesta...?

My girlfriend passed her driving test today and we're looking to buy her a car asap...

We have narrowed our search down to either a Vauxhall Corsa or Ford Fiesta (e.g. 2003 1.3cc or less). We know that these types of cars would be cheap to insure and have cheap parts to replace.

Anyone know the main differences between these cars? Or owned them? We're just looking for some advice really before we commit to anything.

Also, is it worth visiting used car dealerships or private sellers? Any input on this would be great guys. Thanks!

Fiesta is a good little car, the Corsa on the other hand is pretty gash.

Although the very latest Corsa is an improvement over previous models.

Get a Fiesta 1.25 Zetec.

2003 was the Corsa C actually. The Vauxhall Nova is what was the Corsa A which is where the confusion can begin. The Uk didn't start using the Corsa name until the Corsa B.

My vote also goes with Fiesta as I currently own a Mk6 - I've also driven the Corsa you mentioned and the Ford is definitely the better of the two cars.

Best advice... Test drive both of them. The best one is the one your gf likes the most. Tbh I dont think theres much to go wrong with either if you get a well looked after one.

There's so much hate for corsa's on these forums! Yes the ford is a better drive but I doubt your girlfriend will care and corsa's will probably be cheaper so look out for both a buy the best value/condition one!
